I feel like there ought to be a distiction between "first NEW car you ever buy" and "first vehicle" - best first vehicle is probably a used car that doesn't have any huge reliability red flags but has been hit hard with the depreciation stick for some reason.

The only gripe I have about the knob is that it doesn't have any "stops" built into it and you can spin it infinitely in any direction. I'd prefer a column shift but those are about as common as hen's teeth in the modern world.

I'm sure they'll hurt fuel economy but I want to trade the Contis (when they wear out) for a set of BF Goodrich Trail-Terrains. Hopefully they'll hurt fuel economy less than All Terrains and they are severe snow service rated. Also I won't sweat when I need to leave the pavement.
