  1. Turning Radius... Why is it so bad?

Yeah...lots of new developments with a location pinned but haven't added the street yet.
  2. Turning Radius... Why is it so bad?

Our of curiosity, has anyone been able to find if there are limiters on the rack? Or dabbled with removing them? Not sure how much wiggle room it has before things start binding but honestly if I could get rid of some of the curb scrubbing on tighter roads (don't say you don't need to u turn...
  3. EcoBoost GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) image from Hermosillo production factory

I can't tell if it's an easy work around if one is so motivated or if the mid and rear sensor just made offroad exhaust an unholy PITA
  4. Freddie

In the spirit of old school muscle car callouts I'm gonna argue that window louvers is window louvers. They are louvers covering the windows. It fits the theme. Change my mind. Lol.
  5. tariffs showing its effect - prices for aftermarket wheels

After not finding anything in 5 on 108 that really spoke to me (or agreed with my wallet) I rejected the industry's take on reality and substituted my own. Cut the center caps so I could inlay an old set of F150 center caps. Paid for a cheap set of beauty rings. I have a unique set of wheels...

But it won't have a spot of rust on it.
  7. How to prevent spare from rusting?

    Leave it in the garage.
  8. What does it take to get 300whp?

1- The warranty is a lot easier to navigate if you read into the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. 2- I hardly believe the "built vs bought" argument isn't almost as old as the auto industry itself. 3- There's no computer to worry about if you go about it right. There's hardly a computer to worry...
  9. What does it take to get 300whp?

Why did they modify underpowered flathead v8 cars post WWII? They were cheap, widely available, and had solid aftermarket support. It's not really that different.
  10. The cowl panel under the windshield is critical.

Has anyone ever considered modifying this part of the panel to vent the engine bay for heat extraction? Is there a downside to this that should be considered?
  11. Downpipe flange ID? Possible downpipe alternatives?

More Vibration than added noise unless you lean into it...but then again...shouldn't it make more noise if you lean into it? Resonator is packed with steel wool. Glasspack is packed with fiberglass. Figured using Glasspack as a resonator was close enough. And well that depends on your...
  12. Downpipe flange ID? Possible downpipe alternatives?

Also, consider this an "ask me anything" thread as far as downpipe design goes. There was a former member that did this group dirty to make a buck and I vanna try to give back in a meaningful way. This shouldn't be about the money. This should be about camaraderie and helping each other disturb...
  13. Downpipe flange ID? Possible downpipe alternatives?

After a few minor headaches and delays, everything is installed. Think there's still some vibration related to how I mounted the glasspack (hangers are perched on the little exhaust tunnel cross member with 3/8" heater hose as isolators) and I'm pretty sure those hot spots are from sitting in...
  14. Mabett Giveaway: What Did You Name Your Maverick?

Named mine Freddie after my late grandfather who worked in the print shop in Dearborn most of his adult life. I actually ordered Freddie under his Z Plan (grandmother is still around) in atlas blue as a hat tip to the 2nd gen bimini blue v6 tempo (complete with matching fuzzy dice) that was the...
  15. Upgraded stock turbo? Who would be down

So just to be the guy that asks THAT question. Would it be safe to use datalog to tweak existing Livernois canned tune or would I have to bite the bullet and do a dyno tune?
  16. Turbo replacement @ 100K miles?

Ford designed the maintenance schedule around upgrading to a corsair turbo because they want the EB owners to be happy *giggle giggle*
  17. Downpipe flange ID? Possible downpipe alternatives?

So...been a while since I've posted here so here's an update. Reverse engineered K03 flange using the gasket. Between material and machine shop labor I'm in that about $150 (there was a k03 flange based off the 20v vw 1.8T for like $50 iirc but it was shipping from Germany and I didn't want to...
  18. Freddie

Been a while since my last update so... Vented my fender badges with the help of a dremel and gutter mesh. Also finally bit the bullet and added a cvf intercooler. Not a perfect job but doesn't look bad from a few feet away. May stencil "COBRA" onto the intercooler like the '03-'04 svt...
