Ok lets go back to geometry. The linked info says curb to curb is 40ft which is the turning diameter. This tread is about turning radius which would be one half of diameter giving us a turning radius of 20ft. Just so we are all on the same page.

And here I come opening up an ancient thread that no one's looked at in years.

Once upon a time they used to have bump stops on the steering rack to "prevent" tire scrubbing (aka they kept the wheel a mile from the wheel well far beyond where there'd be any concern about scrubbing). Trick in high school was to pull these off and it tightened up turn radius. Anyone know if these bump stops are on our steering racks? Any idea if they can be pulled and the tires don't scrub?

At the gas station at my local grocery store I make the same sharp left turn once I'm done pumping and always get the same pump. I can't provide feet but my '24 Maverick is just a foot or two shy of what my '04 Mini Cooper can do and several feet better than my '18 Explorer did.
FWD typically doesn't have quite the same range of motion as RWD front wheels but overall wheelbase is a factor too.
I would call the Mav better than average.

Its not great. Neither is our Sienna. Both are much worse than previous vehicles, but those were smaller (Prius, Rav4, Sportwagen).

An Outback has a good turning radius for it's size. If they had put a hybrid engine in one of those pre-2020, we'd own one now. Not giving up my cheap Mav anytime soon, though.
