Never seen a car that didn't have a speedo that went to less than 120![]()

Would be neat to see someone modify a Maverick for the track and see what it can do.
Took my modified Miata to 135 back when I had my rotrex on it. That's all the gearing it had in it at 7k rpm. Only reason I did was due to a group of people in a couple cars were trying to run me off the road and yelling at me to pull over. Didn't feel like sticking around to find out why.
It's great so far. Drove it all highway as soon as I got it and averaged 29mpg at 75mph. (Verified when I filled up from a 1/4 tank). My only gripes are the headrest doesn't have adjustable tilt and the dash is rattling/popping on the passenger side. Still going through the forums to see what options people have tried. Here's a pic of it next to my Outback. The truck is sitting about 1-2 farther back and as I didn't feel like lining them up.Totally unrelated, but today marks one week since you took delivery of your Mav...how ya liking it so far? Any threads with pics?
How, pleaseYes, the speed limiter can be moved to anywhere you'd like it, stock it is set at 109 mph if I remember correctly in the program.
Idiots like this kill other people’s kids in “accidents.”I got this from someone with a really nice AWD Maverick with 4k tow.108mph on their 245 65 17s tires corrected for size means 111 mph. No definitive GPS verification at this time. I will work on getting this from them in the near future.
They said this did not feel like all of their GM products that cut off at 112mph, and feel like they shut down hard once you hit that number like you were hitting a wall until you slow down and it catches up. Driver said this Maverick just kind of floated at that speed, not going faster but without that forceful cutoff feel.
Driver said it was completely stable and not scary whatsoever They said it felt like it had more to give. It was definitely was not in the RPM danger zone. It looks like it was in Sport mode and quite chilly.
It must have been smooth for them to take this picture at that speed.

Any more my cars aren't that fast and my hybrid Maverick won't be a scorcher either. If I want to do serious speeding I have to do it on the bike. But it's good to know the Maverick is steady.I got this from someone with a really nice AWD Maverick with 4k tow.108mph on their 245 65 17s tires corrected for size means 111 mph. Back in the 70s when the national speed limit was 55, some cars had 80 mph speedometers.Never seen a car that didn't have a speedo that went to less than 120![]()
