Why all of a sudden have i received a msg on my dash board state: your speed limit i8s 80 mph? I can't beleive it! In southern CA with freeways speeds of 70-80 mph this is not possible. Anyone else ever have this happen and if so what can be done about it?

Agree with the "my key" suggestion. I know my Ecoboost will do 100+ with ease.

Test it……grab your other key fob take a drive down the freeway and put the baby to the floor. See what it does.

Seriously though I have ran 100 in mine and got there pretty snappy. Maybe check the oil life monitor or if it's in eco mode. If those don't work and you don't have a parasail attached to the hitch, I would take it in for service.

Have not checked but I believe someone posted the speed that triggers that screen is in settings???

Yes....you are right...I just Googled and found out About MY Key....so will try to delete....if not ...take to dealership for help.

Sounds like you may have My Key set up for some restrictions.
