Tailgate trim plastic rivets

I'm looking for these rivets. I talked to ford parts and was advised that the part is back ordered so far out that there wasn't even a potential delivery date this first pic includes the plastic rivet and the second is just for perspective or fitment

You're over-thinking this. Just measure the hole size and grab some christmas-tree fasteners at your local auto parts store.

Aesthetics DO matter, but it will still be cheaper to buy a bag of 50 generic plastic rivets on Amazon and replace all of the visible ones in that tailgate trim. That way they will all match, AND you will have spares for all the places under the hood and elsewhere where aesthetics may or may not be as important.

Just get a pack of 50 on amazon for like $5 bucks and replace them all, and that way they'll match and you'll have spares.

Funny I'm missing one in the same exact spot.

My 25 lariat was missing one. Dealer ordered me a pack; took about 3 weeks to get it. This was June/July.
