Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

Finally got around to attempting to program my install yesterday. 21' F150 apim and 23 lariat Maverick ACM into my 23 XLT. So I copied over Bobert47's built from back on page 19. I was fighting getting my GPS to work correctly. This resolved that issue with it jumping around madly. So now I am only down to two problems. Both my usb ports no longer function (saw they are controlled from the ACM(will have to investigate that)) and secondly my volume knob works, but the screen pop up never changes from 0. All the other buttons work and display the information as they are supposed to. Seeing if someone had some directional guidance. Thank you

Happy to have been a help! The volume knob working but showing zero I also ran into at first, it was a cluster group selection when I was adjusting radio and hvac configs, so I'd look there first. For the USB ports, I'd double check you don't have a loose pin or wire in your harness to the APIM (I ran into that once as well). Sounds like you're most of the way there

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't think to check the wiring for the USB not working as it was one of those pre built harnesses that I got thru here. Well after I missed that there was a group discount of course..

Mine sticks. I got it pre programmed from OEM, and everything is working (other than nav - known issue). It all works as expected

probably a sign of a weak 12v battery, but another explanation is after the dealer does software updates.

I haven't been able to get the trip data to show on the infotainment screen at all on my setup (I didn't dig into it too far to be honest since it shows up on the instrument cluster screen for me still). I'm using CarPlay with the SYNC side panels if that is of any concern.

You need a matching dash to do it. Once I swapped to the escape cluster it started working. The stock one won't talk to the sync 4

I'm in the process of completing my install of the 12" screen with a "24 Escape APIM and the ACM from a '23 Maverick. Your install post was a big help! In the haste to get it working I forgot to backup up the As-Built from the ACM. Would you consider sharing your As-Built from your ACM? I have a Lariet but didn't have the
Sync 3.

FYI on phone.
Open file copy the part that is longer than one screen then save that as a new file with an assigned file name. Then while replying to mtc post attach the saved file. (Possibly as full size if it's not longer than 3-4 screen lengths). Then viewer can scroll through that file even on his phone. Or he can Wi-Fi print the portion he wants.

On an tangentially related note, anyone hear more on the rumors the version of FORscan currently in dev being able to do module firmware updates outside FDRS (like for our APIMs)? Long shot but that would be cool.

I have android don't know about apple but suspect it's capable, also.
From menu click share then choose either copy file link OR "LONG SCREEN" then size with arrows by scrolling and selecting what portion of scrollable area you want to save. Can choose many screen lengths then click ok checkmark then save. File will be in downloads and recent files to attach.

Bobert, Thank you so much for posting! I appreciate it. I wanted to have another Hybrid to compare the ACM. I have the "23 Hybrid Lariat but without the B&O system but it should be pretty close.
