Update:

This is how it is looking. I'm very happy with the final product, BUT right now, I don't recommend you buy the kit for several reasons. The plastic back plate does not have the holes to pass the screen cables, nor the 3 holes at the bottom that keep the screen fixed. The holes in the metal bracket do not align when you put the screen in place (They also do not provide the screws to attach the screen to the metal bracket). If you have tools to correct these problems you can buy it, if not, don't do it. I contacted them and they are going to correct those issues. As for programming, a lot of changes need to be made in FORscan as many things don't work well. Apparently, what they did was upload the Sync3 codes to the new APIM. I'm fixing that now. I'll keep you posted.

The product is being advertised as a way to upgrade the sync 3 to sync 4 so it likely is a prerequisite. There are other hardware wiring issues to handle coming from sync 2.5

Exactly, There are a lot of DTCs, and GPS on Navigation is out of position... I am working on that. As soon as I have it ready I'll upload the as-built file.

Guys, I would not recommend this vendor at all....

Received on 9/16 I was impressed....until I opened the box.
The screen looked like it had been cleaned with acetone, and the back of the APIM looked like it was pried out of the donor car. The wiring harnesses looked good. As ppagan2012 stated the mount is missing holes for the wires from APIM and missing hardware to install bracket.
NO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION or if anything needed to be done in the programming Dept. Now in reading ppagan2012's post, I am glad I did not install it. I wanted plug-and-play.
The first email on 9/16 was not answered until 9/18 person said they took a long weekend, and there was no resolution. So far, I have not received any reply to my second and third emails. I have called the business number listed on the website several times, and it is always busy. My last email was to request a refund, of which I am sure they are going to charge me a return fee. I was going to throw caution to the wind and install it, but when I started reading ppagan2012 post about having to use Forscan I was out. I was hoping for a complete plug-and-play operation as they advertise. My unit shipped from Hong Kong. The business address is Delaware, and the phone number listed is Orange, NJ.
All said and done, I would not recommend anyone purchase from this place or if you do, don't expect good customer service. The product would look good in the truck, but the support after the purchase is not worth the $1499. At 76, I should have known better. Shame on me...I'll work it out somehow, but didn't want to see anyone else get burned.

This is what came with the 8" to 12" sync4. The screen is not scratched just looks that way in the photo. Also, the install bracket and screen holder are already installed on the screen. I hope this answers your question.. I added a photo of the back of screen and APIM.
