It may seem counter intuitive⦠but Iāve had a randomly squeaky dash since I had an early service on my ā22, and until I did the OEM Plus upgrade and found a screw missing, I didnāt know what or where it was.
that clip, holding the panel down in the center was missing a single screw and it...
Damn. That looks like chemical residue. I've seen it on Laptop screens - caused by dirty fingers or makeup residue.
Not sure if that's on a screen protector that can be removed or if it's f'd up.
I'm very happy with it. Being OEM it integrates and just feels like stock... only better. Things like the top 3/4" strip of the screen giving Ford info (external temp, fan speed/temp, notifications, etc.), using Carplay is SOOOOOoooo much better. Either in fully expanded/maximized view, or the...
I like my solution as well (from Amazon - either a knock off or the actual MFR that Bulletpoint uses), and I see how this could possibly conceal the upper left sliver of the screen.

The connection is gone when the media center shuts off (open the door after turning off truck).
I was doing the wireless dongle for a while with the factory setup until my usb ports stopped working, so no CarPlay at all. That was a big factor in my upgrade. That and the random screen freezing...
Yes, you get maps, so you can see at a glance where you are at. You just canāt search/use Ford Nav.
I use CarPlay and Google Maps for nav, but same difference with Android Auto.
It connects wirelessly before I finish backing out of my driveway, so I still use it for quick trips.
15 ProMax here. Updated last night and the visuals in Carplay are pretty solid upgrade. With the 12" OEMPlus screen upgrade, I now get Googlemaps in 3/4 of the screen and then to the right, a window with my media in play and above it options to start searching for directions.
All the edges are...
Found this and think it will fit in the space next to the support, give it a flush look and be an easy disconnect if I need to take the top apart.
Then I could mount the charger in the space formerly used by the cubby and that would stay in the truck...
