  1. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

It may seem counter intuitive… but I’ve had a randomly squeaky dash since I had an early service on my ā€˜22, and until I did the OEM Plus upgrade and found a screw missing, I didn’t know what or where it was. that clip, holding the panel down in the center was missing a single screw and it...
  2. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

Hey Ron - sent a PM. Looking for the usb cable from the module to the dual dash mount plug.
  3. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

I didn’t know I was missing this! Time to finally activate FORScan! thanks Sam and Bobert!
  4. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

Goose nailed it. To be fair, I only use CarPlay for nav, so it's a non-issue for me.
  5. 12" Transit screen protector looks bad

Damn. That looks like chemical residue. I've seen it on Laptop screens - caused by dirty fingers or makeup residue. Not sure if that's on a screen protector that can be removed or if it's f'd up.
  6. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

I'm very happy with it. Being OEM it integrates and just feels like stock... only better. Things like the top 3/4" strip of the screen giving Ford info (external temp, fan speed/temp, notifications, etc.), using Carplay is SOOOOOoooo much better. Either in fully expanded/maximized view, or the...
  7. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

I like my solution as well (from Amazon - either a knock off or the actual MFR that Bulletpoint uses), and I see how this could possibly conceal the upper left sliver of the screen. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D5V4CLC5 BTW: I got that USB-C extension and just need to find the time to get it...
  8. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

For those getting the 12" screen upgrade from the Transit, this is also an option for mounting your phone after (it uses a std ball mount, so any phone holder would work on it). https://www.amazon.com/Sunsdrew-Phone-Holder-Ford-Accessories/dp/B0DKXL9796
  9. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

I just looked closer at Mavreezy's pic and his menus are different as well. Mine came straight from OEM just like it is. Wonder if there was some FORSCAN needed on his or if his?
  10. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

Nope. It’s a 22 Lariat, but no Nav, sync 3 or lux. My FordPass acts the same as before as well.
  11. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

I get way more info than that in mine. I'll grab a pic in the morning I see a lot more in mine. Not sure why?
  12. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

I'm 5'6" and I can still see the hood just over the top edge of the screen when driving:
  13. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

The connection is gone when the media center shuts off (open the door after turning off truck). I was doing the wireless dongle for a while with the factory setup until my usb ports stopped working, so no CarPlay at all. That was a big factor in my upgrade. That and the random screen freezing...
  14. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

Yes, you get maps, so you can see at a glance where you are at. You just can’t search/use Ford Nav. I use CarPlay and Google Maps for nav, but same difference with Android Auto. It connects wirelessly before I finish backing out of my driveway, so I still use it for quick trips.
  15. Anybody downloaded IO 26 yet for CarPlay

Here are pics showing how it looks on the 12ā€ setup. I really like how it’s framed with Ford controls so I still get truck info at a glance.
  16. Anybody downloaded IO 26 yet for CarPlay

15 ProMax here. Updated last night and the visuals in Carplay are pretty solid upgrade. With the 12" OEMPlus screen upgrade, I now get Googlemaps in 3/4 of the screen and then to the right, a window with my media in play and above it options to start searching for directions. All the edges are...
  17. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

Found this and think it will fit in the space next to the support, give it a flush look and be an easy disconnect if I need to take the top apart. Then I could mount the charger in the space formerly used by the cubby and that would stay in the truck...
  18. Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

Mine sticks. I got it pre programmed from OEM, and everything is working (other than nav - known issue). It all works as expected
  19. 8" screen (Sync 3) upgraded to 12" screen (Sync 4)

Not sure about new icons. Here are pics of mine in full and shared screen mode
