These are actually my pictures and its due to the frame. A new space has been ordered and further investigation will be processed at the dealership once received.

I checked and same thing. There's bits of loose material, which looks like rubber pieces. I don't think that's good.

I'm guessing that a great many new Maverick owners are first time pick up truck owners also...
If you think a little tiny bit of rubbing on the spare is bad, Just wait until you see what that rim is going to look like in a few years.
The one on my Nissan Frontier was rusted to about half of it's original thickness.

Let me understand this.... I paid an extra $115 for a "full size spare" that is labeled: EMERGENCY USE ONLY. So, was Henry Ford's middle name really Barnum.??
115 bucks for a Tire AND Rim....and your complaining.....................................?

Doesn't matter. This isn't the only example in the Maverick where Ford has deceived customers.

Lariat rear defrost? Not included.

Fullsize included in the Lariat Lux for EBs? Not included.

235 tire upgrade for free on the Lariat? Not included.

Ha,Ha! Yes!!! For a tire that is for emergency use only. The standard spare has a rim also unless there is some design, I am unaware of. Unless I was towing something near the max weight, I would have no concern limping to a repair facility or home with my doughnut tire.
I would not feel much safer with this emergency use only tire.

then DON'T BUY ONE....pay 15k more for a Santa Cruz...you constant complainers crack me up. I paid 25k for my XLT hybrid and think it is a FANTASTIC small truck for a FANTASTIC deal...I'm certainly not complaining about the 115 spart tire/rim...or anything else.

Clean off the rust and you get weight savings.

I just noticed this "For emergency use only" tire requires 60 psi of pressure and should not be driven over 50mhp. This must be a dandy first class spare tire. Sounds about like the doughnut to me.

I don't think you understand what I'm putting down. It's not about the price. It's about lying to customers.
