Had to boost the other day. I just came back from the dealer and I'm out of warranty. Charged me for charging my battery and they said battery is still good. But there's obviously an issue that was causing the battery to drain.
I'm getting 2 E-bikes, they are on the heavier side, about 85lbs with the battery. What do you use to haul your e-bikes. The heavy duty hitch carrier are a little bit too pricey for me, plus I have a pickup bed.
I'm not sure about using tailgate mats. I saw some damaged Ford tailgates on some...
I see what your saying.. I guess I'll lump myself in that category. To be honest I'm no Ford fan boy... But I do love the Maverick though.
How many Kia and Hyundai engine fires have they had the past year VS Ford Maverick (2.5L Hybrid) engine fire? Ford could have done no preventive...
Does anyone know if an actual engine failure / fire caused by bad finished crankshaft happened to a hybrid Maverick yet? I mean Scotty Kilmer said there was a MAJOR fire problem with the Ford Maverick Hybrid, 😱😲 must be true.
Why do people find this extended warranty concerning? It's...
No regrets, I'm in northern part of my province. Although I wouldn't mind having a AWD, its not a must have.
My dad had many RWD vehicles, he would never buy another 2 wheel drive vehicle since moving on to AWD and 4WD vehicles. He test drove my FWD hybrid (with Michelin X-ICE) on a snow iced...
Why? I literally just posted this link at post #29... I'm well aware of this recall. I've been following this underhood recall since mid 2022, yet 0 hybrid fires because of it.

2020—2023 Ford Escape® and 2022—2023 Maverick® vehicles with 2.5L HEV/PHEV engines
I hope this is legit! Since the release of the recall, all I can find about Mavericks who have caught fire are mostly EcoBoost and nothing to do with a bad crankshaft so.. I'm not worried about my hybrid engine.
I was always hoping to have a free extended warranty on the engine... + the 10...
I'm confused as to how a large car manufacture, where any changes or updates are extremely critical, do not test software updates properly. The testing phase is the most important step before rolling out the updates and patches. Clearly Ford needs to focus more on the testing phase.
This was an early issue with the 22 models, now fixed with the 12v harness recall # 22B39.

The recalls I've had weren't an issue with me. I have a good dealer. I have a 1st year, the truck has been awesome. The fire recall (0 maverick hybrids that we know of have had a fire) affects just the early Hybrids, and it because of a manufacturing issue with the ICE, not the hybrid...
...crap I'm confused. So the only bulbs causing the hyper flash are the rear lasfit? I have a XLT with front lasfit 4257 DRL 1st gen only, the rear are stock. Will it cause hyperflashing after the recall?
Alright... So OP says that he honestly thinks hybrids are not meant for highway driving, not thinking there's something wrong with his truck, just HONESTLY thinks hybrids aren't meant for highway driving, with really not much details. OP did mention about lurking on this forum and seeing lots of...
