When I accelerate from a dead stop, I can feel something engage. Is it the gas motor starting up?

Yes it's a clunk. If I ease on the pedal slowly I don't notice it. Normal accelerating I feel it.Do you mean the weird thunk/clank? Mine does that sometimes. No idea what it is.
Is this clunk normal with all Hybrids or do I need to go to the dealer?Yes it's a clunk. If I ease on the pedal slowly I don't notice it. Normal accelerating I feel it.
Yeah, I guess that's what I was looking for here. Some assurance or a negative responseEven more interesting are all the clicks and "Hybrid" noises it makes when parked with ignition off. That really worried me until everyone assured me it was normal......
I was sitting in my truck for around two hours yesterday, in my garage. I got a steering wheel cover for Father's Day and I was putting it on. Required threading lacing, so it took awhile. I had the key fob in my pocket. Every few minutes, it would sound like a telegraph office!Even more interesting are all the clicks and "Hybrid" noises it makes when parked with ignition off. I am a previous Ford Focus owner. The ones with the Dual Clutch Transmissions. After the fourth replacement and it needed a fifth when the warranty ran out . My wife and friends still can't believe I bought another Ford product. If GM would've made something like the Maverick I would've bought that one! So I'm a little suspicious of any kind of clunk, slip or noise.I was sitting in my truck for around two hours yesterday, in my garage. Yes, the clicks and clacks and clunks from a hybrid are "normal".
Hey Randy...My 2022 ecoboost turbo do the same thing. When I originally bought my little beast I sat onside trying to figuring out all the gadgets and kept hearing those clicks and just chaulked it up new tech stuff. Interestingly it seems those clicks happen even after 15 minutes or more from being shut offEven more interesting are all the clicks and "Hybrid" noises it makes when parked with ignition off. My guess is that under hard acceleration it is the ICE kicking in. I drive with a light foot. I don't race off when the light turns green. My '24 hybrid starts off in all-electric mode and is smooth. However, if I push it, I can feel the ICE join the electric, it is slight, not jerky. When I accelerate from a dead stop, I can feel something engage. Is it the gas motor starting up?
My wife's non-hybrid Bronco Sport makes all those noises too. My garage sounds like a click-fest anytime we walk out of the house.Even more interesting are all the clicks and "Hybrid" noises it makes when parked with ignition off. That really worried me until everyone assured me it was normal......
