Is Anyone Else Seeing What I Am Seeing?

I really like the Maverick. I like the simple, low cost, easy to clean and durable looking interior; I like her 200" length; her reasonably narrow body. I like her starting price; I like the utility of the bed, and the underneath storage feature of the rear bench seat. I like that Ford built integrated frame rails under the bed, and I like the Maverick's simple, yet durable, suspension. I had some concerns about the longevity of the base engine, but those concerns have been mitigated.

The thing I cannot get past - on paper, the Maverick has ample ground clearance - but her profile, when you look at the truck, it looks like a crossover, unitbody, SUV. Yes...it has the ground clearance of a truck, but her profile looks low to the ground. Some people might like a low step in height, but I prefer the feel of a higher step in feel of a body on frame truck. The Ranger is a little too costly for me, and the Ranger is simply too long; I won't go the Ranger route. But I cannot get past the "the Maverick looks like an SUV with a low step in height."

Am I alone with my visual impressions?

There are a couple of options that will give the Maverick a little more of that truck look. One is to do a lift... The other is the Tremor package. The Tremor package offers a slight factory lift.
I absolutely love my 2023 Lariat with the Tremor package. The step-in height is just right for me, and cargo in the bed is easy to reach. However, the truck I had before was a 2021 Ranger XLTwith the Tremor package. That rascal was as tall as an F-150. The average Joe couldn't reach anything in the bed.
I am very much happier with my Maverick... Quieter ride, easier to drive (like a car) better gas mileage, and better in parking lots.

I really like all that stuff too but before I disagree with the "Lowrider" look, let me provide a brief backstory.
I've been a car guy since late grade school when I got a ride in a new 64 Super Sport 409 4 speed. I was hooked. I built a few cars on my beer budget, went drag racing, fixed up and sold a few until I could buy a brand new 74 Barracuda. We drove it, modified it, restored it later on, it was a family car, street machine, drag car then back to street machine until we sold it in January 2020. Replaced it with an Ecoboost Mustang until we re-evaluated the need for a new truck that would sit outside because of the hot rod taking up the garage. Sold the Mustang. It was time to downsize.
I went shopping for something that I could drive anytime, would be cool enough for cruise nights (Taking over for the Mustang) and give me the utility still often needed and fit the garage without major remodeling!
Found I couldn't order a standard cab/6.5' F150 in anything but an
XL. Missing too many options I got used to in the XLT I would be trading. Anything longer would not fit the garage w/o major reoranization of the shop. Also Waaaayyy more expensive than I wanted to spend in retirement.
Ranger was the next consideration with it's Super Cab, but again, a hair more expensive than I would like. Enter the Maverick...
Went and drove one. With my aging physical condition, the low entry was PERFECT! The stepover with the sunken floors and high sills was a little inconvenient but I slide directly into the seat, ready to go! I still have enough truck for my current needs and it's easier to get in and out of than my wifes Nautilus. I like it!

And that stance!

Placed the order end of March last year, took deliver July first and painted on the Grabber tribute graffics and a couple more personalized features the next week!
