I added a step to protect my truck. Right after I got it someone let their car roll into the back of my Maverick. No damage but I want to protect it where it can.

Same here, if someone bumps you in the rear, hopefully this piece will fold & protect the bumper. & it is easier to step into the box because it's not as close to the tailgate.

Wife didn't want this on her gladiator anymore, so I popped it on the Mav. Good for parking lots protecting the bumper! And yes I know if I get Rear ended it won't bode well for the truck, but looks better here than in my shed
