If you are bothered by splatter on the side of your truck the solution is mud flaps.

I do not like the splatter on the side of my truck and it is an issue for me because I live and travel on dirt roads frequently. I also think mud flaps look good on a truck.

My choice was the Mabett based on price, coverage, and they do not contact painted surfaces of the truck when installed. I am very satisfied with them.

If you treasure your paint and don't mind mudflaps on a truck, get them. Love my Mabetts; inexpensive, easy to install, good coverage and look good IMO. Yeah, they don't cover Ford's gap, but there are better solutions for that. They work more like a flap and are flexible at the bottom.
My Maverick came with OEM mudflaps that I didn't like and installed RockBlokz ones. That is the only one to my knowledge that closes most of the "Ford's gap".

Mabetts came out with the mudflaps 5 - 6 month after I installed RockBlokz. They do look nice, but doesn't do as much for the "Ford's gap" as the RockBlokz...

I have been getting a lot of splatter on the side of my maverick and mud flaps would cut down on that but i don't know if i would like the look .
I put front and back mudflaps on my maverick but think I wasted my money because of all the plastic cladding on the bottom of the truck.what paint am I protecting? Having said that some people say they help with under body protection?

I like my Mabetts just fine. If you install anything, be careful removing the existing "bulldog" or whatever the fasteners are called. Insert the tool to pry from the outermost ledge, otherwise the fat part of the fastener rips up the fabric hole resulting in poor attachment of the new plastic-ware securing the flaps. Good luck with your decision.

First time I drove my Maverick when the roads were damp (not washed from rain), I was very sure I needed splash guards of some kind at least on the front. I only drove 12 miles on secondary roads. Remember, the front wheels are always the primary if not only drive wheels. I found all kinds of yuk on the doors well above the plastic. Over time, the paint in this area will get blasted with anything kicked up. On the rear, only the plastic is visible. However, any mudflap will help keep stuff out of Ford's gap and collecting by the left rear taillight.

I had the Ford ones on my build but had to remove them from the order to get my truck. I put on Weathertechs. They come with a film to protect the paint. If you live in an area where it's snowy It's worth it. But if in a drier area maybe not so much.
I had them on my order and removed them as well. I haven't got the truck, but thankfully I have a tentative build date. I'm planning to have the Ford OEM splash guards installed at the dealership prior to delivery.

I don't have them on the truck I'm replacing but wished I had (hindsight). Now because of my location it's a necessity. Either a mile and a half of dirt Rd going north or approximately 5 to 6 miles of dirt going south. If I go north and go around I'm putting at the very minimum 10 to 15 additional miles, one way, that number can be doubled coming home. I'm not prepared to take the hit in times, wear and tear, maintenance and with additional mileage loss of value, thus the splash guards or mud flaps.

I put the rear mudflaps on from WeatherTech to cover the massive gap on the drivers side. Installed in less than 5 minutes and offer about as good as protection as you'll find without fabricating a covering for that area.

I planned on putting them on the front - and I should have - because I just hand washed it the other day and there was some really gnarly asphalt/greasy splatter on the lower doors that took a blue scrubber pad to get off (and I quit after I got about 90% of it) and will be a big focus of my clay bar work in the spring.

For as easy as they go on and remove - I'll likely grab a set for the front before next winter.

plenty of threads on flaps from clinical to emotional, use the search. :)
Fossil is right. Read the posts, then decide for yourself. I have been using mud flaps for 60 years, with never a bit of problems. But, if you read the threads on this forum, Ford's mud flaps will DESTROY your truck.

Well, only you can answer your question.

If you don't want to use the handy Search feature on this site, perhaps Google will show you some pictures of what the mud flaps look like on a Maverick.

I bought the Mabett mud flaps. Hesitated to install them. Spent time googling at Mav-with-Mabett-flap photos. Looked at my Mav. Looked at photos. Because I only do potentially muddy roads once a year, I decided to return the flaps. I prefer a more minimalist approach to accessorizing. To each his own.

Not helpful
It's pretty helpful. Scroll down and you will see a section called "similar threads" that have hundreds of replies and thousands of views. You can also browse the forum by sections and find there are specific areas for these questions that have been answered many times. Or, using the search tab - type "mudflaps" and see for yourself.

They were not trying to be rude about it. You are new here and there are many of these threads already in existence. They were trying to help you locate them and cut down on the amount of new threads with the same content.
