Received wrong spare tire?

Did anybody else when ordering their new Maverick with a full sized spare receive a different brand and size as the spare?

I received 4 225/65 17 Continental ProContact and the spare was a Atlas Priva C\S 215/60 17.

Not pleased with this. Contacted the dealership and they said it is what it is.

Yes same tire for the Full-Size "Dissimilar Spare". It's what Ford uses in place of the temporary spare.
Covered some in Confirmed. Steelie as full size spare does fit

Yeah, it says "full size spare" rather than "matching full-size spare"...
I'm just thankful it's not one of those "Space-Saver" spares that make your vehicle sit lop-sided!

Confirmed an Atlas tire on my 2022 , Continental on all 4. This is standard.

AWD won't like the 1.36" difference in diameter. Certainly misleading if not downright lying.

It is a full sized spare wheel (if you drive an XL), the tire not so much. I live in the north so I've bought 4 other wheels for snow tired and just keep the donut spare in case I have two leaks/punctures and one of the snows stored in the bed under the tonneau cover

Your option was a donut spare Spares are designed to get you to the next closest place to either repair or replace the flat. It has never been intended to be used for long periods of time. Most vehicles today don't have ANY kind of spare; just a bottle of goo (like my 2018 Caddy) to fill the flat in hopes it will get you to the next closest place to have it repaired or replaced. This topic has been discussed on this board since 2021 ! If you really want a "same-size" spare, just buy a used one the same size as whatever you have on your truck and toss it in bed (frequent off-roaders will do this). I knew about the size difference before I ordered mine, but I don't plan on doing much off-roading, so mox nix

I am not concerned about the temporary nature of the spare and its intended use. My experience with full time awd vehicles has been that there are limits to how much difference you can have in rolling diameter. No problem with front, rear or selectable 4wd, the spare can go on the non driven wheels. Even though they are supposed to be temporary and emergency use, I have certainly seen people running donuts for much longer than to get to help. Yes this mismatch has been going on for decades, so no more worries on my end.

They also mentioned the "full size spare" would be included in the Lariat Lux on EcoBoosts at launch in the order guide. Never happened.

They also mentioned a rear defroster. Never happened.
