Rattle from under dashboard?

2024 xlt 2.0. 44000 miles. Rattle that sounds like it comes from under the dashboard. Any ideas?

Pull the driver windshield defroster vent towards you and see if it stops.

I had a rattle on my 25 between the two plastic pieces on the drivers side screen. I put a little piece of tape.

Oh, that fable rattle and knock.
What I’m learning so far -
- AC defroster vent
- dash to A pillar contact, rubbing
- dash to windshield contact. Some, like I, add a T shape rubber molding
- plastic dowel/guide pin on windshield, factory stuff to aid windshield installation
- center grill, or grill over speakers
— loose wiring harness support , pass side

If it just started I would pull the cabin air filter and see if something left an acorn in there for you. Ask how I know. Varmints ........ It was not a big one but it was enough to rattle in the housing and drive me nuts. Literally.

As long as there’s that irritating rattle, yes. I wear hearing aid and can hear it….

Get something else that does not have a "built in" dash rattle.
i would still have my 24 XLT/FX4 LUX 4K Tow if it wasn’t for a very loud/heavy dash rattle when it was below 65 degrees outside.

I had a rattle on my 25 between the two plastic pieces on the drivers side screen. I put a little piece of tape.

I had fixed the rattle in the same place with a small shim. It was cut long enough to be able to remove if it didn't work. It's totally not noticeable. See picture.

I almost feel left out.
No rattles.
But then I didn't see it as an option on the XL...

Ford left out tape, foam, straws and rubber molding out of the option list.

While you're under warranty, there's no reason to chase these down yourself. Take it in and make Ford do it.
