Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem.

I thought about ordering from them. It sounds great, but price really isn’t an issue for me, and I’d just rather deal with local businesses. Plus, I have a trade.
I know recently Kinston Ford had at least 2 Mavericks for sale. I think $2500 over MSRP

Truck was finally delivered to Crossroads Ford of Apex on Tuesday, March 22nd. Unluckily enough, my courtesy delivery contact went on vacation that day for a week.

Drove to the dealership that afternoon, truck is nowhere to be seen and no one knew where it was.

Email GM the next morning, he says it did come in, but I have to wait until my courtesy delivery contact gets back next week to really do anything.

Still waiting on Chapman Horsham to send/start my purchase paperwork.

Waiting almost 9 months at this point, so what is another week? But a little frustrating nonetheless.

I've got a week of April 11th build (god willing) through Chapman, mine is a courtesy delivery to Capital Ford in Raleigh. It will be interesting to hear what your experience is like with this process.

Bummer about the added wait but you're close!

One question, how did you find out it had been delivered to the courtesy dealer? Did they or Chapman contact you, or did you get an email from ford?

I'm curious because I have a Chapman Philly order being courtesy delivered to a dealer in Greensboro. Should hopefully be arriving any day now.

Good luck! I have heard good things about Capital Ford.

I will surely let everyone know how it plays out. @NCbronco actually already had some posts regarding his experience with Chapman Horsham dropship to Greensboro.

I look through his posts every now and then. He posted quite a bit in this thread around the middle of October.

Here is one of the posts: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ship-maverick-tracker.1124/page-14#post-76298

Absolutely! Hopefully taking it home next week. Going to try and stop by today to see if they will allow me to check it out...

I actually had it tracked through United Road following some of the resources in the tracking megathread posted around here somewhere. I saw when it got to Petersburg, VA, when it was scheduled for pickup, when it was picked up, and when it was delivered to the dealership.

My tracker updated that night to Preparing Delivery, but then reverted back to Shipping overnight. It is now back to Preparing Delivery.

Edit: See my previous post about NCbronco's experience drop shipping to Greensboro. I assume it is the same dealer yours is going to.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had any luck with my vin and united road. It doesn't provide any results or records

Had a chance to stop by and take a look at the truck yesterday. Hot Pepper Red looks so good and the ActiveX seat material feels awesome.

Chapman Horsham is not sending my purchase paperwork until next week, bummer... The pricing was also not what I was told it would be OTD from previous emails, so trying to get that checked out.

Thanks for this info. Please let me know how this pricing and delivery works out - I have an XL due at Capitol Raleigh NC in a few days. I had asked before what has been the experience with any NC Chapman CDs and not really gotten any input / or seen much other than the one GSO shipment. I know there was an increase in the PA doc fee but this should be the ONLY delta.

Hi, everyone! I live in Garner, NC. Does anyone know a great mechanic in the Garner, Raleigh, even Cary area that you trust to take care of your Maverick? I don't mind going to the dealership, I guess, but honestly, dealerships give me the creeps with all their nonsense. An independent mechanic that really cares about the truck is ideal. Any recommendations? Thanks, all!

I've heard great things about Automotive Performance and Chassis in Downtown Cary. I've got a Miata and that's where everyone in the Triangle Miata Roadsters Club takes their cars for service. I think they typically are booked pretty far out in advance, so just keep that in mind!

Will for sure keep everyone updated.

I had read the same thing that the only increase should be the PA doc fee modestly going up. Still have not heard anything from Chapman Horsham this morning.

I am pretty sure it was because they did 4% off invoice WITH the new prices instead of what the prices were when I originally ordered/asked for an OTD.

I have used King’s Auto Service on North West Street near Glenwood South for many years. They work on most any brand but their sweet spot is Ford, Chevy, Jeep and the like - traditional American brands. They are not the cheapest but I have been very satisfied with them. If they encounter something that really needs dealer attention, the won’t hesitate to tell you. I took a Ford Torino that wasnt running smooth to them one time, They called me and said I should let them get it towed to a Ford dealer. Turned out that a bolt had worked loose from the flywheel. Ford fixed it at no charge. Could have been a disaster if it had been driven further.

Just a heads up if you ordered from Chapman Horsham, they are not price protecting from the original pricing before Ford raised prices. Their final invoice is based off of Ford's price increases. This is from Matthew Hillie.

I have heard it both ways on this forum and read that we were supposed to be price protected. Also, you cannot use the Farm Bureau bonus cash if you want the promotional interest rates from when you originally ordered. Otherwise you get today's rates.

Very disappointed at this point in time. almost defeats the purpose of ordering from them with all of the hassle, them getting my order for a proposed awesome price, paying my courtesy delivery dealership $300, and then paying for an NC Farm Bureau membership (still happy to support NCFB and Crossroads Ford, however). Still below what local dealerships were going to sell for, but not really if you count the dealerships that are price protecting and selling at the original MSRP and not the raised prices.
