Yes, I really did have all 3. But I gave the soft tri-fold to the owner of the orange Maverick. So I am down to 2. Haha

I see that you post a lot of projects on MTC. I have gotten a few ideas from them. My question is how and where do you go to post on the main news page. I finally got my Maverick customized to my liking and want to share with other members. I don't know how to get it posted on the main page. Please explain how to do it. Thank you.

have had the Gator Tri-fold for 2 years and so far more than satisfied...never a leak..$310.

Bought it on Black Friday deal and most all Tonneau sellers have Black Friday deals this week.

Tomorrow ((day after thanksgiving) I get to drive a couple hours to the Ford dealership to get the hard roll up cover installed. Ordered via Ford accessories with the 20% discount and $420 in FordPass points. $597 altogether including the sales tax. 😊

I've also had all three, I liked a hard tri-fold best, and soft rolling comes in second.
Wasn't a huge fan of soft tri-fold.

I'd love to hear your take on it.
I had my Ford dealership install "their" hard trifold on the Maverick before I picked it up, and I am very satisfied with that decision - works great and finishes the box off nicely.

RE Hard Roll Up

When I bought my truck, the Accessory-guy at the dealership told me he had the roll-up. He said it started peeling paint at the 3 year mark. He advised against it, but said he'd be happy to sell me one..... I took his advise and bought the trifold. That's only been 3 weeks ago, so it's way to early for me to give a judgment on the trifold, but I've been through some fairly heavy rain and it's been bone-dry, so far.

I've had the BAK Revolver X4s since I first bought my Unicorn and have been very happy with it. I'm really very happy with the security and strength it provides. The roll up doesn't block the whole rear view like a tri-fold does, which was important to me. Additionally, because my two car garage is filled between my two Harleys and the Maverick I end up using the cover as work area as needed for my various projects. The cover has been a real winner in my book!

I have a Truxedo CT Sentry hard rolling cover. I like it because the canvas cover looks neat, clean and it is easy to roll. It only partially blocks the back window so you can still see behind you. If you need to take it off for any reason it has quick release pull tabs. It also holds a bit of weight without any problems.

I wanted to buy a quality hard tri-fold, but I also didn't want to invest too much money into accessories on my Maverick in the event Ford does come out with a hybrid (preferably PHEV) Ranger in the next couple years. Once I got closer to my build date I started to monitor prices and I was able to get the Tyger soft tri-fold on sale for $190.

6 months and 9000 miles of use and it has performed great for what I expected out of it. Not perfect (touch of wind noise/flapping on the highway, sealed very well overall but tailgate end still lets in a bit, don't prefer the clamp-style of closing it) but truly unbeatable in value for under $200. If Ford doesn't get off their butts and make the hybrid Ranger in the next couple years then I might eventually upgrade to the hard tri-fold; but for now this does all that I ask of it and does it very well.

My parts came in and I had no trouble installing the soft tri-fold. Took all of 10 minutes.
This is my first Tonneau cover ever. As I said before, I wanted a hard tri-fold. This soft tri-fold only cost me less than $50. and I am pleased with the outcome. When this one dies (or I decide to sell it) I will go with the hard tri-fold. I am super happy to NOT Have side rails sticking out when I take this thing off to haul my motorcycles.

My Ford factory rollup does very well. The wash I use is "touchless" cleans with soap, water pressure and rinse. , no spinning brushes. The Velcro holds the sides in place with no problem. The Tri-folds should do even better no matter what kind of wash you use.

Extang Alx hard trifold here.

2 people i know own these and bought off their ownership experience. (Not Mavericks)

Pricy compared to other options, but it works for me.

nice!

my First Edition came with the Ford soft tri-fold and when I traded that truck in, I kept it. it's very light and I put it on/off probably 10 or more times a year. I go all winter with it, and then in the warmer months I alternate between a MTB tailgate pad and the tonneau cover. 10 min swap.

when/if it wears out, I'll probably get a weathertech alumacover. weathertech doesn't actually make it - I can't remember the designer & mfg, but it's the same price from them under a different name. I like that it folds twice and then pulls right out.

I don't like the hard tri-fold that fold flush on the rear glass. that would be useful for a short errand, but I would not want to block the whole rear window routinely, plus someone can easily take the open cover if they wanted it. (and, I hate to say it, but one thing that occurred to me about your situation is that someone pried it off a truck and broke the 2 latches doing it....)
