I'm considering ordering the ford accessory hard trifold. I just wanted to pop in here and ask if there are others that you guys would recommend from your experience. I watched the video of the Truxedo Pro X15. The quick disconnect feature seems nice.
I'm also considering buying the ford hard trifold bed cover. Did you end up buying one? If so, how is it? Thanks, Lance

I have had a pickup in my driveway for about 40 years and had different covers over the years, I worked for a car company and always got a demo so I only drove the truck on weekends almost always had water in the bed, I can say this the hard covers butt the back side of the tailgate and water runs down the back of the gate, the less expensive soft covers over lap the gate but can leak in the sides, for 1100.00 bucks you can buy almost 4 of the less expensive covers they can hold a foot of snow and when installed correctly will do the job without breaking the bank. If you carry expensive tools or materials and worry about theft that's another story that wasn't my case go for the protection and hard cover.
I was never in bad areas and was a weekend vehicle.
I got the ford tri fold, wish I had a truck to put it on. I havnt seen any reviews on it but ford is giving 20 off now paid 400 and change its made by advantage torza and from what I can see very well made and I likes the latching system it unlike all the others. You cant buy it aftermarket it was delivered to my dealer in less than a week, the packing was great list price was 569. I like buying factory stuff am sure it was built to ford specs there must be a reason ford is selling it with all the tonneaus out there.
the soft truxeda is cheaper but everyone says should of been a inch longer. so in about 2 weeks I will let you know how it fits because my truck is on the way. it also has the ford emblem on the cover.

i wanted the ford hard trifold and cancelled it in the end. Best decision. I went with the Extang xceed that recently came out. It has a very sleek look with no visible (mostly) hinges. Has a rotating handle on the first panel for improved resistance to break ins from someone picking the lock by snagging the release line. Love it and get a lot of positive comments because it is so clean. I hated the alum panel texture that the ford and other hard tops have. https://extang.com/xceed/2022/ford/maverick

I picked up the extang 2.0 signature series. Week and a half in with it (and the truck) I’m loving it. The matte black canvas cover I think looks far superior to a normal vinyl cover.

Update, I bought the ford trifold Tona cover 569 with 20 off now 456. I spent hours on line theres no reviews on that cover Ford is the only one that sells it. I don't carry any valuable's in the bed and even if I did I don't think I would spend 1100/1200 bucks on a cover. don't have my truck yet , 2/3 weeks on a train some where but I have a cover, I looked it over and is very well made and seen one at dealer on a truck, looks great and is long enough . As I mentioned have had 5/6 pickups and every kind of cover made I like this cover all the parts are attached to cover goes on in minutes and come off in seconds if need be. Best of all is always tight, the soft roll ups are a pain you have to walk around the cover and pull it tight every time it opened and the velcro gets old.
And you get the FORD emblem in middle of cover. For the 20% off price I think its the best.
One hand operation always tight and gasket has 3 layers of leak protection, I will let you know??? 2 weeks Please deliver my truck....

I purchased the soft rollup from Ford using Ford points and it cost me $135 out of pocket.

I considered a hard roll-up, but I was mainly interested in having a cover, not rigidity or keeping things stored safely. I rarely put any tall items in the bed of the truck, so I won't be unrolling the cover much. Most items I need the truck for are 2x4s, plywood, and the occasional bag of dirt or mulch.

The cover will allow me to put groceries and other items in the bed of the truck without worrying they'll get wet or blow away.

Installed myself. Took less than 45 minutes. My wife called mid-installation, so I'm not certain exactly how long it took. :D

Still looking and pondering. But I'm set on the soft tri-fold style. Truck is, (supposedly) being built the week of 5/23. Ford's 20% off and Extang has a rebate also until the end of May. So I'll purchase before those end.

Well I did get my truck later that month and installed everything I got from ford at 20% off matts, tonneau cover, hood shield and engine cover all the same day!
Am coming up on a year in few weeks and 5500 miles, don't drive much, vehicle sits in my driveway and tonneau cover got a little dirty but looks new, easy to open and leaks very little, they all leak even the $1200 ones, any body recommend a good cleaner for the vinyl cover, thinking 303. Am getting 22/23 miles a gal local and up to 35 highway using the cruse at 2k rpm and about 68/69 mph no complaints. only issues is the radio locks up a lot and haven't done all the recalls yet. I did a oil change at 3500 and going to do the next one every 5k or one year, am retired now but worked in service for highline car dealer for about 40 years. I think these service interval's work well, don't forget to rotate your tires every other oil change. Love my Maverick, its nice to have a vehicle no one has or can get.

I just put on a Rough Country Tri-fold for $229. Very happy. Nice sturdy frame with just enough bow so water runs off. 15 minute install. Fits great. Can't beat the cost for the quality.

I’m leaning toward the Truxedo ProX 15, but I would love for the folks who have this one to chime in on how much water leaking happens. I know all will leak some especially in more severe weather, but I have had a cheaper Truxedo on another truck that kept the bed very nearly bone dry. But that model sat on top of the rails rather than on between. I like the look of the lower profile x15 but if that look means a lot more water intrusion, I’m not sure it’s worth it.

Another vote for Truxedo Sentry CT. Installed mine in 30minutes last week. Seems perfect for convenience and a little more security.
Saw some reviews that said the Sentry was a tad short. Your experience?
