I did not do the BMS reset during my first battery (when creating this thread), but I did do it during my second battery after getting 12.3 volt reading every morning. The very next morning after doing the BMS reset I got a 12.6v.......and slowly dropped to 12.3v again each day. I pulled fuse 11...
I'm now at 14k miles on the odo and I'm averaging 3-4mpg less than what's shown on the screen. After taking delivery I was averaging 2.4 the entire time up to before this past winter started. Hopefully its the cold throwing it off too, it is my first winter season with it.
That's really good. It seems like ford want us to feel good about our Mavericks, by having it show higher than it really is. The biggest difference for me so far is 4.5 mpg lower than what's shown, the lowest is 0.6. Calculating 2.4 mpg lower than the display seems to be the magic number for my...
I didn't read through all 37 pages, but did anyone calculated their mpg and compare it to their displayed mpg? My calculated is always 2-3 mpg lower than what appears on the dash.
The distance traveled pick up seems to be accurate for me, just he mpg is consistantly off.
Careful, my mpg meter...
:unsure:...Now that you mentioned that, maybe my understand of "temporary neutral mode" is wrong.
I thought "temporary neutral mode" is where you can get out of your vehicle and push it a few feet without turning on your engine.
In all my previous automatic vehicles, I can turn the key...
That separate battery will be very busy keeping a bad battery charged, or trying to charge a battery that cannot hold a charge. In that case eventually your separate battery will go bad and may not have enough to keep it charge and your back and square 1 where the car doesn't start.
Now that...
That will only work when your at home. Once you shut down the engine for a few minutes, it will not start back up with a poor battery like my first one. I parked at a ford stealership just to talk about this subject, I came back, couldn't start.
One thing you can try is pull the telematics fuse. I think this will also disable fordpass. Fordpass is free but free for a reason.
Mine is also about 8 months and I'm on my 2nd battery. If I ever get to my 3rd battery, I will pull the telematic fuse and see how that works out. If that doesn't...
Thanks! That is a great ideal. I was hoping there was a setting (like some other things) you'd have to enable before you use it, that I didn't know about.
Hello everyone,
I followed the below (from manual) steps. The dial shifter is still locked into P when trying to perform step 4. It cannot go into neutral. Anyone know if I have to enable it somewhere?
Thanks!
Agreed, most ford parts here and there are junk. I have the 2024 model, is the forscan already available? I want to change it too.
Good news is I did a BMS reset and I saw 12.6v again a few days after but still dropping by 0.01v per day, hopefully it's a cycle thing, but we'll see.
