Not trying to be a negative Nelson but does anyone think that Ford is dangerously close to pricing the Maverick out of the market? I mean, at this point, for a few thousand more one could get a 4x4 Ranger. Personally I like my Maverick and wouldn’t change my choice but it seems like Ford is competing with themselves
Looks like they can still price them a few thousand dollars higher. ;)

>.> I dont want cloth seats regardless. whether its vinyl or leather, I cant stand cloth, so it was a must for me, the other stuff is just a bonus. havnt had cloth in a vehicle in like 15 years being able to just wipe clean a seat is nice, no worries about liquor or sweat penetrating and getting gross.
Ahem, I'd say liquor and car seats are a really bad combination. But I get your point.

It's funny because when I read his post my brain said liquid or sweat and it wasn't until I read your post that I see he accidentally put liquor. Brains work in the weirdest ways.

I am grateful that I took delivery of my '25 XLT a few weeks back.
All I see upcoming for the Maverick are Ford price increases and a federal government tariff.
Stay tuned for what is coming.........

It's kind of concerning you mentioned liquor getting on your seats.....

If it stays this popular, yeah, there's gonna be price increases, tariffs or not. TOtay I saw the first Maverick without plates at my dealer...besides the one I just picked up anyway. A yellow first-gen model. Probably traded in for a new one and I bet it doesn't stay there long.

Prices will go up until enough people say "it's too expensive" to bring the sales numbers down. Given the near nonexistent competition in the compact pickup space, that may take a while.

Where do you get the "a few thousand more"

I just priced an equivalent XLT 2025 Maverick and a 2024 Ranger and the Ranger costs $8,630 more than the Maverick not the "few thousand more" you state. I fact it is four times larger.

2024 Ranger XLT 2.3L Base $39,745 + 495 Tow Package + $1,595 destination = $41,835

2025 Maverick XLT 2.0L EcoBoost Base $29,050 + AWD $1,020 + CP360 $795 + 4K-Tow $745 + $1,595 destination = $33,205

its possible he is comparing a lower trim ranger to a high trim maverick, which people here like to do for some reason.

Yea that irritates me as it is not a valid comparison just cherry picking something to justify their false belief.

In fact that's probably likely. If you really want to, you can get an F-150 for $40k. Base XL, RWD, cloth seats, and not much else, but you could. Whether you NEED the capability of a Ranger or F150 or not doesn't seem to register.

yep, im in that group that just wants this because its like a small car with a truck bed, hits all the boxes, and nice interior/sound system.

if I wanted a work truck id buy a work truck. - and to be fair, if I want a work truck, I would buy a base.

for a car I drive 24/7 for me personally, I want all the frills, lariat. - makes more sense to buy a lariat if you get extended warranty I think in a way, you add more stuff, more to break, and warranties dont seem to be affected by trim levels.

ie. a base maverick 10 year 100k is same price as lariat 10 year 100k. so you get more coverage for more items. / higher priced items

I don't understand this. In my area I see around 2K off. If I was to go to the next major city a couple hours away I see $4K off and thats even hybrids....
