I use 90 octane non ethanol. It is even more expensive than Premium but I hate ethanol.

They failure points but if you take care of those items (My cars they have) the engines themselves are basically built proof.

First fill up 87 second 92 thirs 94. Price difference 20 bucks a fill. Runs smoother on the higher grade. Get the same mpg though.

I started using mid grade 89octane and im avg 27 -28 mpg around town and i have a 2.0 eco boost.

I have 2500 on my EB the last tank I tried 90 octane ethanol free and there was a noticeable performance difference. Also the first 1/4 tank was all highway and the dash reported 32mpg (I also have the tow package it is rated at 29) for the .25 per gallon price difference I will run this at every opportunity.

No mention of 89. Maybe not the performance of 93. But possibly no knock in warm weather as some say.

I was actually thinking it could be a good compromise. But here in Houston were already into triple digits so I may wait until fall to try it
