Orders? Hybrid engines not available?

Ordered 5 weeks ago, and silence from Ford. Dealer has no idea when or if it will be made. Now says they may not be able to get engines for the hybrid. Pretty dumb to announce a truck, get all the hoopla started and THEN find out that the engines may not. be available. Santa Cruz may be an option if this keeps up.

I called Ford twice this week. First time they said I will probably get scheduled soon. Second time they said it could be 3 months or more before I'm scheduled because of the hybrid engine.

Have you looked at/searched this forum much in the past 5 weeks or are you just arriving here?

Theres tons of legitimate info here about constrained features. Currently hybrids are constrained to about 40% of the theoretical total they want to be producing for retail orders. Dealer is wrong that the engine is not available, it’s just going to take longer with all the orders and lack of steady supply chain it seems.

Retail orders didn’t even start building until 9/13 so maybe relax there bud.

They started taking orders 3 months ago, but just started building them a couple weeks ago. Maybe there are 30-40,000 customers ahead of you...

You're not going to get much (any?) sympathy here. People that ordered months before you are still not scheduled.

If you're so unhappy why not contact Ford directly and let them know how you feel?

Yes, you can order a box of cereal and it’s delivered within 4 hours.

A brand new, never before built, truck. During what is happening in the world with microchips. Nope.

I may be alone here but I don’t think Ford needs to provide any notification to order holders. Ford doesn’t sell you you’re truck they are just the manufacture. Your dealer on the other hand could send periodic emails. But like many above me wrote, any research shows there are valid reasons for Hybrid delays.

I ordered on June 22nd Hybrid Lariat, Lux…. No build date yet. Priority code 10. Dealer told me when ordered that it should be before thanksgiving. Now I’m hoping to get a build date before Christmas. Sit back and ignore your order or it will drive you nuts. We will get them when Ford figures it all out.

Yea, it sucks..But try this....Go Window shopping for a different truck....And we'll see you back in a couple of hours..humbled I've done it several times, Yea I got one scheduled but It's not the "One" thats a Hybrid Lariat....
