I had my first oil and filter change at 3k miles, 5,000km, [2.0 EB] at my local Ford dealer. I alway go to their website and look for "service specials". With the coupon price it cost $55 USD including a California disposal fee. And I'm in a high price area where they add $10.5k to MSRP for new hybrid Mavs. Dealer used Mobil 1 full synthetic. My currency converter says you paid $134 USD and that is extremely expensive.Just got my first oil change done at a Ford dealer. I only have 1200 km on it, but have always done this for my new vehicles. The kicker is for semi-synthetic (which they told me is what comes in them from the factory), set me back $180.00.

I have a certificate for the first oil change. After that I go shopping for the best price. Most every store selling motor oil will accept and recycle the used oil at no cost. Walmart, AutoZone, O'Reily, etc.I have a certificate for the first oil change. After that I go shopping for the best price. Dealerships are gouging their customers and getting away with it.
I went through this back when I had a diesel Escort wagon. The dealer charged $300 for the oil change and I never went back. I started buying my oil filters from a discount auto parts store and I would take it to the local 10 minute oil change place and let them change the oil.
Unfortunately most of us don’t know how the engine works on a hybrid. If I could figure out where to dispose of the oil I would go back to doing it myself.
I just had my second oil change and tire rotation. $101.Just got my first oil change done at a Ford dealer. I only have 1200 km on it, but have always done this for my new vehicles. The kicker is for semi-synthetic (which they told me is what comes in them from the factory), set me back $180.00.
