Even $110 seems high, but if a Big Mac supersize is $16 in some places I’m not surprised.
$ 60 for Mobil one full synthetic self service. Incl filter in California.

I’m with the ipa guy!

At the Ford dealer I bought my hybrid Maverick from….synthetic oil….shop brand….does this seem really high priced to you?
Yes it's ridiculously high in my area. You don't have to use the dealer. Use a trusted mechanic or do it yourself. Keep your receipts.

$99 for full synthetic oil change, tire rotation, brake inspection and a short list of other inspections that take maybe 5 minutes. Flat rate. Can’t just get the oil change at a reduced price. They have an express lane but it still takes 45 minutes to an hour.

12,000 points for an oil change, but mine is an EB FX4, so they had to remove a million bolts to do it. I did not ask what oil they used.

Buy some ramps and tools. Shop around for the Ford oil and Ford filter. Do it yourself. Do it right. Save money. YouTube videos all over the place. $150 is a ripoff. Get wrenching!

It is high. I just took mine last weekend and it was $122. But mine will be free all the way up to 40,000 miles. But after that, I will 100% be doing that myself. Priced out all the oem oil and filter, cost me about $70-$80 to do it myself. So i will save at least $40-$50.

That is Canadian $$$, right? My dealer in Southern California charges that much in USD which is why I do oil changes in my garage. I realize not everyone can or wants to. About $50 for Mobil 1 and a Motorcraft 400S oil filter from Walmart. I have to dispose of the old oil myself at the recycle center. But at least I let the oil drain out completely - 10 minutes - and pre-fill the new filter before I spin it on. Dealers could care less.

So what are other people paying for dealership oil changes?
We have a LOT of points built up on our Ford Pass account. We have all of our three Fords (and have for many years) receive their oil changes at the dealer. The rate was, until the pandemic, $49 for oil change, filter, and comprehensive checkup. I think it's $69 now. The dealer we used in Michigan is Pat Milliken, the dealer here in NC is Mooresville Ford. I have yet to have the Maverick Hybrid done here, but we have had Escape Hybrids (essentially the same underneath) done at this rate...though we do pay with points.

The Works® ($69.95):
  • Synthetic Blend Oil Change
  • Tire Rotation and Pressure Check
  • Brake Inspection
  • Vehicle Check-Up
  • Fluid Top-Off
  • Battery Test
  • Filter Check
  • Belt and Hoses Check
Up to five quarts of Motorcraft® oil and oil filter. Taxes, diesel vehicles and disposal fees extra. Hybrid battery test excluded. See participating Quick Lane® for exclusions and details.

Took my Maverick in for the taillight recall a couple days ago, and had the first service done. It came to $146.17 after tax at Brown Bros Ford in Vancouver BC. The service includes full inspection, fluid top-ups and tire rotation. I would prefer to change my own oil, but when you live and work at a strata complex it's a non starter with strata rules and bylaws to contend with. Used to take my F-150 to Mr. Lube for oil changes, but after after they cost me $3000 in differential repairs I started to take the truck for service at the dealership. At that time the cost difference between the dealership and Mr. Lube wasn't much so I kept going. I average two service visits per year, so the cost doesn't feel excessive considering my situation.

My dealer did give me some free ones but once those run out I'll be taking it in to my favorite shop in town instead. Doing it myself isnt a great option for me but that kind of price is pretty nuts. I didnt pay close to that at the shop I go to. That ones cheap enough it's really not worth doing it myself. I think they charged around 75 for the taurus full synthetic.

My local California dealer wants $140.00 for Synthetic Blend Oil change, Tire rotation, and some checks. Upgrading to full synthetic bumps it up to $190.00!! I guess if you live in California, you should expect to pay more.
