If you do the change yourself, you're talking maybe $40 for oil & filter, and 20 minutes of time. I usually buy the 12 qt bulk oil container in a box, which would yield two changes worth of oil, and a little to top off in between (if needed). FL910S filters are dirt cheap compared to the Genuine Roki/Subaru 31A filters I bought for my Outback, at around $5/piece online.

You also ensure you know what was put in, and that it was done correctly!

$45 and time for me to do at home. Stopped going to the dealer after the lost bolts for my FX4 skid plate multiple times. Would trust them even less now that I have an aftermarket skid plate in tandem with the FX4

Not yet, but have serviced my step daughters 19 Escape, with the same dozen or so fasteners. Took one look, and back into the house for my DeWalt impact & bit driver set. It zipped them out in record time. Just dialed down the torque putting them back in.

Shouldn't be more than twice a year, given it's a Hybrid, and my typical miles driven.

That said, might be possible to install two hatches, one for the drain, and another for the filter. - Just spit balling the idea, couple of boat deck plates, twist & out, the turn back in.

Ya I have a eco with the fx4 plating.. My dealership only $52... Also they do a afterthe 4th oil Chand the 5th one is free... So $204 for 5 oil changes basically

And the Hybrid calls for full synthetic oil, what they installed was not correct. If it were me, I would want to literally watch them drain that oil and refill to include a new filter which will retain ~3\4 quart of the wrong oil. I would also want that switch over to the correct oil documented on a revised work order from that dealer.

I check my bill and the product number was for full synthetic. So that’s one good thing anyway.

Absolute nuts. Worse I would think would be about $100 or so for full synthetic (without a discount coupon)?

That looks like a synthetic blend to me. Maybe I’m missing something. Also it is 5W20 and should be 0W20 in a hybrid. Are you in Canada?

Well check your manual to be sure but I think hybrid are recommended to get OW20 full synthetic. Not the end of the world but I think you have a blended synthetic there which explains lower price.
