I contacted Ford chat last night and I'm now scheduled for the week of January 9th. I asked the lady if my order is now going to be a 23 with a new vin. She said no and that I will still be getting a 22. Somebody at Ford really needs to work on their training.

Ford in general needs to pull their heads out of their butts and figure out what's going on and stop playing yoyo with us all.

That would be nice but there's just too many heads with no real skills/incentive/ purpose. Take some of those heads and get rid of them. Did you see Ford vs. Ferrari? The part with the memo?

Is there any other Oct Hybrid here besides me that isn’t or never was scheduled? And yes, I have verified everything and order is in Ford system.
Me I reckon. I’m part of the vin no vin buncha mess.

Technically, yes. My first order was placed in late October, but the garbage dealer didn't put it in until November, so I guess technically it is a November order. It had a VIN and was bumped from a later October 22 build week to December, so it is in the same boat as all these other ones with a VIN but not getting made as a '22.

They should of just done a rollover for everyone to start with, instead of the reorder and private offer. Only reason I can think they didn't, has to be a Financial advantage to Ford for making '22's over discounted '23's.

At this point, I don't think Ford will offer anything that really "makes it right" with those in this situation, and will bank on people just bitching and moaning and ultimately just waiting like the Bronco. Supply chain issues will eventually pass, so theoretically this should be a once in a lifetime ordering experience the same as being able to sell one the day you bought it for a profit.

I am lucky and got my 2nd order, I can't imagine the frustration for those that are still waiting, although I do know frustration trying to get Ford to get a dealer to honor MSRP. I didn't get a free fits kit, instead I got the privilege of waiting a year and still having to pay the mid year price increases.

My October order is one of the ones that was scheduled and is now canceled. Unlike a year ago I actually need a new vehicle soon. And since it looks like the earliest I will see my rollover is February I can’t wait for Ford to get their act together. I really wanted a Maverick but the dealers here are asking minimum $5,000 over sticker so I’ve been talking to Honda dealers about Civics.

I also have a 2023 Hybrid Maverick order in with Tim Bartz at Long McArthur (my canceled 22 is with a local SoCal dealer). The Long McArthur order is not coming soon either but I got in touch with him and got on their list for trucks that aren’t taken by the original orderer. I didn’t think that would pan out though.

Well surprise, I got a call this week from Long McArthur. They had an available XLT Hybrid with Luxury package in Velocity Blue. Basically exactly what I’d ordered originally last year. They were willing to cut me a deal provided I canceled my 2023 order. Still over MSRP but it was a deal I was OK with since it was going to be less than my 2023 from them was going to cost. It was also a far better deal than anything I’ve seen locally. I’ll be flying out to Kansas next week to pick it up and enjoy a 1,400 mile road trip back to California.

I’m not especially happy with having to pay anything over MSRP but I do actually have to have something so it was this or a Civic. Given all the issues with building hybrids my 23 order might not have gotten scheduled so giving up that order to get this is fine by me. Bird in the hand and all that jazz.

Not sure what I’ll do about my 22 hybrid rollover. I’ll wait and see what Ford announces. If they are still commanding a high price over sticker I’d be a fool not to buy it and flip it.

But on Friday I should have a Maverick and in the correct blue.

Congratulations on finding one. Hopefully you did not have to pay much over MSRP. I have a VB EB 4K tow that I bought last December about two months after my 23 OCT hybrid order when I decided to not repair my older vehicle. At that time I could not find any hybrid close to MSRP. Intent was to hold for a few months and then trade in on the hybrid after built. Here I am 12+ months later.

Being among those with 22 VIN's, and then getting canceled out, I honestly feel like I've been forgotten at this point, so I'm looking elsewhere. There's no reason or inclination to give a business my hard-earned money, so they can basically screw around, and do whatever they want.

If there were answers, any answers, I might be able to find a reason to just let it ride, and hope for the best. But when I'm seeing people who just ordered a couple months ago already getting their VIN's for the 23 model year, and that alone would have been discouraging.

Not having any sign of a vehicle you'd ordered a year ago, and being in with a relative minority of people in the same situation makes me wonder if they will accept the flak, and just leave it.

It'd be nice to have alternatives, but after cruising from one empty dealership to another yesterday, I'm going to have to hope and pray my car doesn't finally die, without any real alternatives.

At this point, it feels like I gambled-- and lost.

Don't give up yet. Hopefully, next week will get us (cancelled 22 orders with VINs) some real answers. And, as you know, the new folks with VINs and Production Weeks likely will be pushed around, just like we were.

By October 2022, order banks were closed again so unless someone's ordering in Canada, this one should hit the right audience. The title should be adjusted though, you're right.

Stopped by my dealership just for grins since it's so close to my house to ask my salesman why my hybrid has been sitting at Wayne assembly for the past 11 days and counting.

He looked it up in the system and confirmed it's at Wayne assembly (MI) and ready to be shipped. Now here is the kicker, he doesn't know why it's not being shipped but he did see the ETA on the delivery will now be between Nov 26 - Dec 2. The frustrating part is not knowing why is it just sitting there.

At this point I kind of wish it I would have been delayed and built as a 2023. It would be nice if we knew why it's just sitting at Wayne assembly. Oh well, like I said before, it is what it is.
