I have been after an Lightning Pro since I missed out on ordering one. Closest I've got is $5k over on an XLT which was around $65k and WAY more than I want to spend.Oh, when I saw my dealership had a used Lightning Lariat this past weekend, my wife and I had to talk each other down. That price though...
While the idea of the Toyota "Stout" intrigues me, I'd imagine it is 18 months away, at a minimum. And as with everything else these days it will likely face supply constraints. I'd likely end up with a Colorado if I have to abandon the Mav.The longer they take, the greater the chance I end up with a Toyota competitor - like a truck based on the Rav4 that is in development.
I've got a list at the bottom of this 1st post https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/highest-23-vin-tracker.22705/post-429524Is anyone keeping track of these weeks? There has been maybe 2 actual scheduling weeks since December
yeah, it wouldn't be any sooner than that... Toyota has solved most of their supply constraints, they build the rav4 hybrid with either lithium or NiMH to avoid battery constraints, however manufacturing is still behind so it still took a few months and it only came with one key fob lol. the second one will be mailed in a few months. While the idea of the Toyota "Stout" intrigues me, I'd imagine it is 18 months away, at a minimum. Still I am looking forward to watching development news from Toyota.
Part of the reason I don't think we we will see anything until March (which is next week). They are averaging a large scheduling run every two weeks. But they are closed one week in April. Ergo, no scheduling this week since they have a week to not fill. I suspect they will fill out the rest of April next week.I've got a list at the bottom of this 1st post https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/highest-23-vin-tracker.22705/post-429524
That Colorado is looking mighty sharp but it is no bigger than the Maverick inside. If I am jumping into the $40s for a truck I'll go all the way to the Silverado for $45k.While the idea of the Toyota "Stout" intrigues me, I'd imagine it is 18 months away, at a minimum. Buy a Maverick. "If" Toyota is developing a smaller than Tacoma truck then it will arive in 2030 based on delays to 2023, no 2024 Tacoma. The longer they take, the greater the chance I end up with a Toyota competitor - like a truck based on the Rav4 that is in development.
My point is, there WILL be competitors to Maverick some day. And when that day comes I won't hesitate to go where it makes the most sense. I don't think the Toyota competitor is that far off.Buy a Maverick. "If" Toyota is developing a smaller than Tacoma truck then it will arive in 2030 based on delays to 2023, no 2024 Tacoma.
