Ah, the "not to argue, BUT..." guy, who initially replied in order to argue a point. Great. Point is, there WILL be strong competitors to the Maverick soon.

Well, they ARE making a compact truck. It's been documented. Not making it up. So they must see a good reason.

My point is, there WILL be competitors to Maverick some day. And when that day comes I won't hesitate to go where it makes the most sense. I don't think the Toyota competitor is that far off.

The longer they take, the greater the chance I end up with a Toyota competitor - like a truck based on the Rav4 that is in development.

Got the same - no update, update. 15 months and I'm still in the same position. They can't even give an approximate date of completion. It's ridiculous. At least I don't absolutely NEED a vehicle and can afford to wait. But I'm keeping an eye out for alternative new offerings from Toyota and others.
