Oh, when I saw my dealership had a used Lightning Lariat this past weekend, my wife and I had to talk each other down. That price though...
I have been after an Lightning Pro since I missed out on ordering one. Closest I've got is $5k over on an XLT which was around $65k and WAY more than I want to spend.

The longer they take, the greater the chance I end up with a Toyota competitor - like a truck based on the Rav4 that is in development.
While the idea of the Toyota "Stout" intrigues me, I'd imagine it is 18 months away, at a minimum. And as with everything else these days it will likely face supply constraints. I'd likely end up with a Colorado if I have to abandon the Mav.

Still I am looking forward to watching development news from Toyota.

yeah, it wouldn't be any sooner than that... Toyota has solved most of their supply constraints, they build the rav4 hybrid with either lithium or NiMH to avoid battery constraints, however manufacturing is still behind so it still took a few months and it only came with one key fob lol. the second one will be mailed in a few months.

That Colorado is looking mighty sharp but it is no bigger than the Maverick inside. If I am jumping into the $40s for a truck I'll go all the way to the Silverado for $45k.

Buy a Maverick. "If" Toyota is developing a smaller than Tacoma truck then it will arive in 2030 based on delays to 2023, no 2024 Tacoma.

My point is, there WILL be competitors to Maverick some day. And when that day comes I won't hesitate to go where it makes the most sense. I don't think the Toyota competitor is that far off.

Unfortunately my 1-car household wasn't practical anymore so I bit the bullet last week a bought a new Crosstrek. Still planning on purchasing my Maverick if/when it ever comes. I'll probably lose some money on the whole process but I really want this damn truck. Just couldn't wait until the Fall anymore.

Ford can't seem to get their act together! I might try to find a Maverick on a dealer lot. If scheduling is already done through the middle of April, most of us are looking at 3 more months to maybe get an order filled.

Well looks like my production date has change and as been pushed back 3 weeks now. Is this normal or a sign of issues for Ford?
