I ordered mine aug 10th haven’t heard anything. The dealer did call me last Friday to tell me my truck has been grouped to some sort of pre scheduling. I forget what she actually called it but it ment I couldn’t make any changes and was a good sign. Idk I really want my truck lol.
Sounds like you've been moved up to priority 2, which as stated you can't make any changes to your order. However, you can get moved back to priority 10 again, so until you get an actual build date with a VIN, don't count your chickens just yet. I've been move up to priority 2 three separate times since I ordered on July 5th and I'm still waiting on my Unicorn, I mean hybrid to get built! 😁

I ordered the Lariat cyber orange on june 25th. Every Thursday I go by the dealership to check on my order status. I was told last month that my priority code was changed from 19 to 02. I wasnt told what that means. Last wk. I ask if they had heard anything new. No news good or bad. My dealership is small in Clinton Tennessee. The cyber orange does look like a school bus.
Yes it definitely is the color of a schoolbus, and I absolute love mine. The little dealers are only getting 1 or 2 builds a month. So if they have very many ahead of you it could be several more months. That is exactly what I went through so I canceled my order and bought mine off the lot at a big dealership. Yes I drove 100 miles each way but it was well worth it.

Looks great!! How close is the one you bought off the lot to what you had on order?

It's actually better, I didn't order the moon roof I really wanted because the dealer said I wouldn't get my truck for a couple more months but this one has it. So it was a plus. Everything else is exactly the same.

That's good to hear. Did the dealer add any "market adjustment" to the price?

No none at all. He actually helped me get a $750 discount through my husband's work that we didn't know was available. I don't see anyone on Michigan doing mark ups. I just think that is horrible customer service especially those doing$7000 to even $10,000 mark ups.

So glad to hear that you didn't have to pay any markup! It is really criminal that some dealers are doing markups so outrageously high!! What I find bothering is that you have waited, like all of us who've placed an order, only to end up buying from a dealer's lot! Why wasn't your Maverick built and sent to you instead of Ford building a stock order for a dealer? For you this worked out well because you got the moonroof you originally wanted and from the sounds of it at a better price. My gripe is Ford building stock orders ahead of retail orders, just doesn't seem fair or right in my opinion.

I totally agree. When I ordered mine the dealer told me they were not making any stock trucks until all customer orders were filled. Obviously he was totally mistaken about that. That dealer that's always on here bragging about his stock and mark ups gets my blood boiling every time he posts something.

Yes, I totally agree!! I think Ford really has earned a negative mark by putting out stock units while there are so many people still waiting for their orders and then if that wasn't bad enough, Ford announces recently they're producing Mavericks for South America!! Hey Ford, how about waiting a minute or two and fulfill all the orders you have in the USA before striking out for other markets!!

For most people looking for a Maverick now, it would likely payoff to buy in Michigan at MSRP and fly there and drive home than to pay $2.5K, $5K and more in dealer mark up.

It probably would a much cheaper deal doing that!

I seen a guy from Canada post that he ordered 2 months after I did that he received his truck last week. That's when I knew I was definitely canceling my order and buying the one down state.

I don't blame you, I would do the same thing, especially if I didn't have to pay anymore for the truck.

That's is a sad thing, but so true. I know my next vehicle or my husband's I should say because I never want to get rid of my Maverick will come from the dealer I just bought this from. He was great and not a crook. St. Clair Shores Michigan. Roy O'Brien Ford Matt Marotte if anyone wants a great deal.

Always great to hear about good dealers, but they seem far and few between!!
