If you had an AGM battery, there’s no way it could’ve been a Motorcraft product. You can’t find them. It was probably a dealer replacement because he couldn’t get the car to start bunch of failed on dealers lots before they even sold. I’ve talked to my dealer about this extensively Likely in fact, I’m almost impossible. It’s a factory served AGM battery.
Not true.....

Never mentioned replacing the battery before so I was assuming it was the factory battery. None of the Ford batteries are AGM. Nothing from the factory comes with an AGM battery from Ford on any model Maverick the Delco battery has almost twice the CCA and it’ll never mess with the Ford software like the motorcraft nonsense does
CCA is irrelevant in the Hybrid. The ICE in it isn't even started with the 12 volt battery.

And there are AGM batteries in thousands of Mavericks.

My 2024 AWD Eco Lariat came with a Motorcraft AGM battery.
Sez so plain as day on top of the battery.
I bought it off the show room floor on 12/31/24
Due to ice it sat for two weeks,
Started right up.

Yes, some EB did come with AGM batteries but not all. My 22 EB did not nor did my 24 Hybrid. Original post was about Hybrids and none until MY25 came with AGM H4 batteries that I was aware of. Yes, Ford AGM batteries do exist but were not used to save cost or due to lack of availability.

That is the correct HYBRID replacement for the cheap OEM flooded battery. Just compare the difference in reserve capacity and CCA. I know it is not used for cranking or starting but a massive increase in reserve. A deep cycle battery might be a better fit considering its use. 390 CCA vs 540 CCA, 45ah vs 50ah, 65RC vs 80RC. The AGM is far superior and more expensive.

This is the replacement AGM I purchased as a replacement for my 24 HYBRID. I called my dealer and said I have a bad battery, and asked if they confirmed that would they replace it with an AGM and they said no. Replacement would be the same OEM flooded battery. I said thanks for not wasting my time and bought my own.

Have a 22 EB & have had no battery issues, only in the coldest of winter when it sat for a week, the interior lights didn't go on a few times, but always started. I received battery recall notice, I already ordered a replacement AGM battery, do I net to do or reset anything when changing it, or just drop it in & call it good.

Almost exactly the same here!

Got sick of the battery dying and being told it was fine.

Bought an AGM off Rock Auto (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8878472) and had even went the extra mile of having a local mechanic install for me. Trickle charged to full, reset the BMS that evening, and let it sit overnight.

For about $200 all in, it is well worth the cost.

No issues or even signs of issues thus far (fingers crossed).

As an aside, I also turned off all connectivity in the truck just to be safe.

Always do a BMS reset but be sure the new battery is fully charged. The reset sets your baseline for recharging and it needs to be a full charge.

Had your exact problems. Decided to bite the bullet bought an AC Delco battery that fits exactly under the seat that was a year ago not a single problem again just get an AGM battery and stop arguing with yourself and the dealer. If you wanna get tricky, you can completely drain that Ford Motorcraft battery slip it back in take it to the dealer and maybe I’ll give you another battery for you later.
"slip it back in": Can't the battery be drained without slipping it out?

According to the Ford Catalogue The 2025 uses a AGM battery. There are 2 listings one is for the Hybrid and one for the EB. In 2024 there is an AGM listed and a non AGM. The non AGM would likely be the Hybrid but that is a guess I did not go into it that far. All 3 batteries are available from Motorcraft. As for Warranty replacement. Ford dealers are only allowed to replace with the same battery. Failure to do this according to Ford's policy will Void the battery warranty as well as refusal of the replacement. In other words if A Ford dealer put in an AGM where a non AGM was Ford will not pay them for it.
I hope this helps.
