Battery not holding a charge

Hey all, I posted this under a different thread before I found this one.

I have a 6 week old Mav, came out yesterday to go to an appointment and it was deader than a doornail (don't you love those phrases?) Called AAA and they came out and jumped it, told me to drive it for 15 or so and he left. None of the electrical worked, power steering, brakes, precollision warnings etc. I ordered a NOCO jump starter overnite. Rejumped it this morning, I let it set for 1/2 hours running, turned it off and then tried to restart it 15 min. later and again, deader than......Meanwhile I have left 6 messages and spoken to two people at the dealership where I purchased it. Today they will send someone out (after I bugged them every half hour)to evaluate. Has anyone else had issues of the battery not working? And when it is jumped do you have to wait a certain period of time before all the brakes and steering work? I searched the posts and it seems like the issues are more about them lasting not very long, not about the issues I am experiencing after it is jumped. Thanks for any feedback.

You are not the only one.

Probably the battery will need to be replaced. No big deal.

Possibly a battery cable is making an intermittent connection. Harder to find, but easy to fix when found.

And no. Once started everything should work right away. Some preferences and settings need to be relearned. But it should all work in like a factory "reset" mode right away.

The waiting time is for the 12v battery to recharge. Usually 15 minutes gives a basic (minimum) charge. A full charge takes a few hours.
