  1. Changed the eCVT transmission fluid in my Hybrid Maverick

I imagine you are responding to change of tranny fluid and not oil, when you commented about 4 qrts. out being slow with a pump. I don't know much about the tranny fluid prccess. Haven't seen a video. I got the hybrid. Wouldn't a person need a pump device to have the tranny fluid removed? Or...
  2. Supertech Advanced Full Synthetic 20k WSS Approved

I went and looked at the label on the bottle for 02-20 supertech. no where on the bottle does it say it meets 962-A1. What are you thoughts. I wouldn't buy it if the lettering wasn't on the bottle. if they have a data sheet with the 962-A1 why wouldn't it be on the bottle?
  3. Supertech Advanced Full Synthetic 20k WSS Approved

When i looked at the jug of supertech oil 0w 20 for the m2c962-a1 on labeling. it was no where to be found. i did see 962-a1 on other manufacturers oil bottles. So what do you think?
  4. Anyone pump the oil out from dipstick hole to perform oil change?

Thanks for response. Ok, the what your saying significantly is that some oil may still be left in the oil pan if oil is pumped out vs. drained out. Ok, that is valid, Could be, and don't want to leave any in pan. So draining will get more out then a pump.
  5. Anyone pump the oil out from dipstick hole to perform oil change?

Thank you. don't have a marine cover but will find something similar. don't know how you secured the marine plate to the shield. but glad you found a method.
  6. Anyone pump the oil out from dipstick hole to perform oil change?

thanks for the warning. i know you mean well. but if you clarify why removing oil from an oil pan would ruin a warranty, then please inform me how, because by all means I wouldn't want that to happen. What does it matter which way the oil is removed, just so it is removed, and on time. How...
  7. Maverick 2.0 oil change access without removing undercover (by installing marine access plate)

I bet an experienced mechanic has seen it. It would make his job easier. So he might smile.
  8. Maverick 2.0 oil change access without removing undercover (by installing marine access plate)

I seen 6" diamter. that forum member did on his ecoboost. i'm going to take a thin ice pick and run it through the shield to hit the center of the oil filter and then mark the shield 3" on both sides of the ice pick and 3" on top and bottom. then cut three of the for sides. use 4th side as...
  9. Maverick 2.0 oil change access without removing undercover (by installing marine access plate)

Nice. color is great. You took what was at hand and made it work. you are a renassance man. to bad you don't live closer. thanks again. i'm going to look and see if the hybrid looks like the same as your shield so it would help me decide where to cut at. don't want it too look like frankstein...
  10. Anyone pump the oil out from dipstick hole to perform oil change?

oil filter does have 3 holes under the oil filter on 23 model. it would just have to be widened. i would cut 3 sides out of the shield. leave the 4th side as a hindge and then 2 tie straps to hold the opposing side. Cut them off when changing the oil and put 2 new ones in place
  11. Anyone pump the oil out from dipstick hole to perform oil change?

If and when you do a tranny fluid change, sure would like information how to do it and great if pics or video comes up with it. I remove the fluid in past cars with a hand pump down tranny stick hole maverick won't let me do it. wouldn't know how to ensure fluid does in the hole without spill...
  12. Anyone pump the oil out from dipstick hole to perform oil change?

thank you richard. What are you looking for to determine if sample is up to your liking? Is it color? I'm glad you said you did it for the maverick also. that helps me. It was for the hybrid, right? Do you remember how much oil came out? thanks again
  13. Where to cut into shield to access oil filter?

Thank you for your response billbillw. 10k would be nice. I just arrived at 2000 miles and meters shows 62% life, so it looks like oil change at 5,000 miles. right? Therefore will need more oil changes if I continue on the figures shared. And if I could remove filter without removing the...
  14. Anyone pump the oil out from dipstick hole to perform oil change?

thank you for response. thats too bad you couldn't get the last qrt. out. Even though you had car on ramps, with the tilt, the oil didn't settle back in by the plug, which is where most the moil would accumulate. Was it on ramps when you began pumping out oil?
  15. Anyone pump the oil out from dipstick hole to perform oil change?

Thanks for responses. If you had experience doing this, please give your thoughts. Have you pumped out your oil from the dipstick hole to do an oil change? I have done that over the years, but I don't know from experience is there is anything down the tube blocking me from doing that. Pumping...
