Slow to get going is nothing to do with engine performance. It’s all the systems that are too slow. And nothings cooling as far as AC until air moves. Plus the air in vents is basically the same temp as air in cab. My Ford work van fan turns on to last speed immediately. It's a TRUCK not a Sports Car.
For me pedal-to-the-metal in my Hybrid leaves others in the dust. 0-60 in 7.7 seconds is fast enough for me.

I use it infrequently as I don't park on hills very much but I've had no issues at all with the Parking Brake.
I love the dial shifter. Again this is a TRUCK not a Sports Car.
In all my previous vehicles I put it in Drive and go. Not hard to do at all.
Why don't you apply the software fix that has been out since March 1st.
Radio firmware update!
Why would you want the fan to come on at high speed and blow Very HOT air on you when first turned on?
With the AC on MAX it first turns on the compressor with the fan at low volume until the ducts are cooled down then ramps up the fan to max air flow. This way you are not blasted with very HOT air when first turned on.
By the way my 1978 Buick Electra with it's fancy automatic climate control for AC did this exact same thing: low air flow until all the ducts were cooled then ramps up the fan speed.
