Come on over to my area, lakes and mountains. You will appreciate fog lights, especially yellow ones to increase contrast.

Unfortunately, on many newer vehicles, they are cosmetic only. Small 5000K projector-type fogs lights are useless.

i have a truck with fog lights for 8 yrs and i have absolutely no idea what they do. or why i should care.

i'n guessing theyre to turn on in fog? because that will, i dont know, provide some more light i cant notice?

just weird the things people get hung up on. like how every phone review mainly talks about whether the phone has wireless charging, or every maverick review mainly talks about that it doesnt have push button start.
"1 liter bottle holder in the door..." 🤣

You knew it didn’t have fog light and opted for copilot 360…Seems like you brought this on your self.

Copilot 360 is nothing. Now they government is taking about putting a sensor that checks to see if you have been drinking before you can start your car. I don't drink and don't need that.

I specifically look for vehicles that don't blink, beep, vibrate, talk, chime, double-honk, etc. That sh*t annoys me to no end. Hate all of it....absolutely all of it.

OEM's......please stop the madness...
I haven't read the entire manual, but on my wife's Mazda CX5 these items can all be customized and disabled. Hope this holds true for our trucks.

I don't know where in the settings it is, as I don't have my Maverick yet, but the lane departure alerts and most of the other copilot features can be disabled in the settings.

I know thats on my list of things to do when it arrives.

I wanted the blind spot monitor, and the cross traffic alert for parking lots, but most of the rest I'm not interested in.

I got the Lariat Lux package which requires Copilot 360 so I could have heated seats, a bedliner, and a few other odds and ends. I also ended up with a bunch of stuff I didn't really want, because package.

Fog lights will I'm sure be available aftermarket fairly quickly.

The original idea behind fog lights was that a driver used them instead of his headlights when it was foggy. The lights were mounted low and the beam stayed low to the ground, where there was less fog.
Since the introduction of 'always-on' headlights in Canada headlights can't be turned off while the fog lights left on, which defeats the purpose of having fog lights.
Now-a-days, fog lights are just for show (and to bother drivers in oncoming traffic.
I've owned a number of vehicles over the years that came with fog lights and I probably haven't used them more than a dozen times. The last vehicle I owned, a 2015 BMW X1, had fog lights and I never turned them on once in the three years I owned it.
I'm glad my Maverick doesn't have them.
Wow, all the hate for fog lights. If you lived in a rural area like I do, you would find them essential. Hey city dwellers it's dark in the country. They illuminate the side of country roads. Makes turning on a unlit intersection much easier. In populated area with lots of ambient light, I agree they are of little benefit. Unless it is actually foggy, then you'll be thankful if you have them.

I've never found fog lights to be particularly effective at all, even in fog.

I agree, it's mostly a styling thing, and something people think they need for whatever reason.

What I DO wish the Mav had as an option, is the mirror mounted spot lights. I had those on both my F150's, and they rock!

As long as the THC detector isn't activated, I'm good 😁

I have the Lariat with full LED headlight. I find fog lights or any other auxiliary lighting is not needed with the projector headlights. Then again I am coming from a wrangler jku that had terrible lighting and had to put led light bar and led pods to light up the same area the maverick can.

The Mav has reflectors, not projectors.

I'm glad to hear you're happy with the Lariat headlights. Believe it or not, my 2016 Prius (which I'll be trading for the Maverick) has excellent headlights, but my wife's 2015 Nissan Rogue has terrible headlights, so I've certainly been hoping the Maverick lights up more of the road like the Prius.

..either way ford engineers did a good job. Now if you feel the lighting is sub par you can get a light bar licence plate bracket kit from Amazon. Put one on the wife's Subaru crosstrek:

LITE-WAY License Plate Bar Light - 20 Inch LED Light Bar 23 Inch License Plate Holder Universal Bull Bar Style Light Bar Mount Bracket Front Bumper Aluminum Number Plate Frame with Dual Row Spot Flood Beam Light Bar for Off Road ATV UTV SUV

1. You didn't have to order CP360

2. The standard LED headlights lay waste to both my Forester and Tacoma with halogens low beams and halogen fogs.
