Today our Maverick came in! It’s a cactus gray XLT with the LUX package and copilot 360. I have a few questions.

1. Lane assist- is it automatic, or is there a setting I need to use to enable it?

2. Hi beam headlights- I read somewhere that they were automatic, however I didn’t seem to notice it automatically dim. I only tried it once with one car approaching, but they did not dim.

3. Bed rails system- can someone enlighten me on the purpose of the moveable bed rail system? Does Ford sell attachments to it or something?

Here is some photos of it.

On an xlt we just have Lane keeping, not Lane centering. Centering is only on the lariat lux.

The difference is that keeping keeps you from wandering outside of the Lane. Let the truck ease toward the land edge and you'll feel it shift back, the steering will also vibrate if you have that setting enabled.

The more advanced Lane centering Kris the truck centered inside the lines.

You either don't have auto high beams enabled or just haven't been in the right situation yet. It is fairly obvious when they switch! Make sure your light switch is in the A setting, and in the menu the auto hb has to be enabled as well.

Sorry, don't have my Maverick yet.
1. Lane Assist has to be turned on or off. Having not seen the Maverick I can't tell you exactly but I'm sure the Owners Manual will.
2. Hi-Beam Headlights have to be turned on as well. Typically a switch or button to activate.
3. Bed Rails cleats are moveable/adjustable to allow for when you need to tie different size items down.

I figured it was to tie things down as well, but was kinda hoping Ford offered fancy accessories for them.

You have tie points in the bed and you can move the top cleats around to tie down in any configuration. You can mix up anyway you need it.

The Lane assist switch is on the end of the left hand stalk. A dash light will come on when activated.
The high beams stuff is dependent on headlight switch setting.
The bed rail thingies slide to different positions to allow flexibility in whatever you're holding down.

Thanks! I didn’t get to tinker with it too much tonight. We brought it straight home from the dealer and put our kid to bed. I’ll mess with it some more tomorrow. Thanks for all the help!
