Slate has changed the website to reflect a price in the "mid-twenties" now that the tax credit is gone. So a 2 seater with NO infotainment screen, you thought the 2022 to 2024 screens were lacking. No power windows, AC, or paint colors. Slate still has not released prices for these add ons.

Facts are facts. Inflation means things are just more expensive now. With the removal of the EV rebates, we will now see if that market has enough mass appeal on its own or if manufacturers were purposefully jacking up their prices because there was a rebate.

Isn't crew cab the #1 selling variation of a truck for the last 10-15+ years in NA? Isn't that why we are losing our options for other configurations in body on frame trucks?

I would say it is pretty important to the North American market.

I don't have kids and I likely never will, but I sure do appreciate having the back seat for storage or my dog or some friends if we are all going to the same place anyway.

yep. but but it has seating for 2 and an "estimated" range of 150 miles and a new feature "roll up windows", some on this forum probably never saw such.

As it is, for mid $20's, they will fail quickly. That is a terrible value, compared to any fuel type vehicle.

No matter you want call it. Employee discount, first responders discount etc.
If you can negotiate the price of the Maverick $2,000 off msrp that's just like negotiating the delivery charge off and paying MSRP.

I think it's fair to ask when EVs could stand on their own without tax subsidies, but cheering for them to fail doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Don't forget that hybrids used to have a tax credit which helped Toyota push along their system which became a staple, while Ford also took advantage with the Fusion / Milan hybrids for awhile that were considered quite good...and made in the same factory that switched over to the Maverick. If I am not mistaken there are some people out there enjoying the Maverick hybrid.

The Slate would be cool-to-have as a 2nd car, but it's not a good investment like the Mav. Depreciation has been slow in Maverick and EV's tend to sink like a stone in value. Seems perfect for urban contractors but not really for Mav owners. I want to do road trips and not fuss with charging. Also want 4 doors. If anything, I'd get a used Leaf for local driving and trade the Hybrid in for a turbo AWD Maverick. I looked into Slate, I like it but have to pass...
