OK - maybe I have a funky battery? Even though it displays a good charge of 12.28V with a voltmeter.
Could very well be a bad 12v battery. I know a few people had their batteries replaced. Hard to say, was your truck built before May 13th? Mine was, and I know there is a TSB (technical service bulletin) for a possible bad wiring harness between the inverter and the 12v battery for hybrids built on or before that date. I'm not sure if that's my or your issue. Typically that ended with people unable to start their trucks at all. I've never had issues starting.

Thank You - do you mean the 12V battery for the Hybrid battery ?
Deep sleep mode is for the 12V battery/electrical system. The hybrid HVB is disconnected and not in use when the vehicle is off. As evidence of this, the 12V battery is charged by the HVB (there's no conventional alternator since the electric motors already generate electricity), but this only occurs when the vehicle is running, not when it is off. Even though the HVB can charge the 12V, it doesn't do this when the vehicle is off so you can still end up with the low 12V battery charge, and deep sleep mode issues.

Unless it's too hot/cold, you could easily get the deep sleep alert, then have enough charge in the HVB to start right up and begin to drive before the ICE needs to kick on.

Still possible. Voltage doesn't tell the whole story. Your dealer can hook your 12V battery up to their tester to see if it detects any issues.

Here's a chart that shows battery charge state at various voltages for a lead-acid battery:
Ford Maverick Issue: Automatic Dome Lights Not Functioning BatteryVoltageChart

So if you're reading 12.2 volts, the battery charge state is roughly 60%.

Note that this is with the engine NOT running. (For Hybrid, vehicle is turned OFF.)

Thank you Jim. That chart is awesome.

I put an aftermarket battery monitor on the 12v battery in my hybrid Mav. You can read the battery voltage from a phone app as long as the phone is within bluetooth range (30 ft or so) of the truck, and the truck doesn’t need to be on to read out. It will store a running history of battery voltage as long as you use the app at least once a month. Amcel BM300 from Amz.

Same problem here. I have the deep sleep messages frequently...

My 22 Lariat hybrid is currently in deep sleep. It has been happening a lot since I picked it up in April. Build date was March 8th. Current voltage is 11.88 VDC. I've also seen 11.72 VDC several times. I would really like to know if any hybrids built after March 13th are getting deep sleep in FordPass. Truck always starts when in deep sleep, but remote lock/unlock and start are disabled and dome light doesn't come on when you open the door. TSB 22-2340 addresses the faulty cable, but it also states no crank - no start, so it's not being considered at this time, however I'm suspicious of it.

I just noticed today that mine didn't turn on the dome light when I opened the door to put groceries in the back seat. Didn't turn on when I got in the front either. It did turn on after I started the truck and opened the door to check.

I guess mine went into "deep sleep"? I don't have it connected to any apps or wireless.

What does the 12 volt battery power when the ignition is off? I know it powers all the connectivity crap when enabled, (wifi and Fordpass), but even with those things disabled, there seems to be a parasitic draw.

What is your build date?

I have measured bot at the battery and at the jump posts under the hood anywhere from 11.7 to 11.8 with the vehicle powered off. I currently am charging the battery. When it finishes charging I will keep reading the voltage without starting the engine. If it drops steadily then I would agree with you there is something draining

Ive had the deep sleep more during this cold weather. The weird thing is that it starts just fine with the remote start on my fob ( Lariat )
