For me, I am just going to deal with it. My Maverick hybrid is a 2022 and I just hit 14,000 miles so only 3.5k miles per year of driving. I haven't done any of the recalls either but I really need to get the half shafts done because it did the shudder on acceleration thing for a while and now...
This is what I learned do if the issue starts happening, pop it in N for a second or two and then back to D and the issue usually stops.
Most of the time, it is just a mild annoyance. ONE time, back when I posted the thread, I REALLY had to stand on the brake to keep the truck still.
I wasn't aware. I knew there was an issue with them. I also know that mine has like 8 or 10 recalls that were never done.
The vehicle is in Germany but I am taking it to the states soon. I will wait until I get to the states to see if I can get a dealer to look at the axles.
Thanks!
I should have mentioned that I have experienced the fairly violent shaking on accelerating uphill a few times which I believe is a CV axle thing but I haven't felt that in months.
Obviously I don't drive it much though as it only has 13k miles in 4 years.
I have a 2022 hybrid Maverick with only 13k miles. It developed a pretty significant rattle / clunking sound when going over bumps in the road, even small bumps. Fast or slow doesn't matter. I think it is coming from the front drivers side but it is hard to tell.
Is there a common issue that...
3 years later and my truck still does it. I've gone to just popping it in Neutral for a second and then going back to Drive.
Still only does it on the first stop while the engine is running. I've learned to live with it.
I was coming back from Czech on the A6 on a Sunday morning with barely anyone on the road. My hybrid tops out at 176kmh/109mph as advertised. It doesn't want to hold over 145-150kmh or so for extended periods. I had the cruise set at 160kmh and it would back down to 145-150 on even the...
Stuttgart here. I haven't been to Baumholder but I ski with a guy who works there. I think mine was one of the first Mavericks in Germany. I ordered mine in Aug of 2021 as soon as MAS let me order one and got it May of 2022. It has been a good vehicle for here size wise. I barely drive it...
I would say "enough" was right before you put that plastic thing on the front. It looks ridiculous to me but if you are happy with it my opinion doesn't matter.
Pretty much same as I did. I have a 22 XLT hybrid with lux package and CP360. It was 28k out the door (no taxes but included ~1.5k in overseas shipping charge).
I felt that it was the sweet spot for price / features. Hybrid was the base engine at the time and the lux package had more in it...
176km = 109mph and I am in the right lane getting passed my a station wagon in the "fast lane".
Doesn't feel great at that speed though.
I generally keep it 130-145kmh and stay in the right lane except to pass (people in Germany actually get that concept).
My 22 hybrid only has 10k miles and I had a pretty good shudder on mild uphill acceleration the other day. I assume it was this issue but only really happened the one time so far?
I pulled the fuse that runs it and then did a battery reset. Seems to have helped. I am not connected the Ford pass app but I can tell when it is low because no interior lights until I start it. Used to be like that after sitting a few days but now it can sit a week or two and still have...
The car wash I use has a sign to remove the antenna before go into the wash so I remove the antenna before going into the wash.
No problems so far... :)
Cash for me. Bought from a dealer that does same fixed price for everyone so no haggling. Not worth it to me to mess with a payment plan for the few dollars I could make from the spread on a very low interest loan vs secure investments.
Problem is trading in after 3 years for 3k less than paid new is only possible in the current clown show monetary policy coupled with shortages that we are now on the tail end of. Using historically more accurate numbers looks like this: I used 26.6k because that is what my 2022 XLT hybrid...
