Only issue after 26, soon 27 months has been the garbage 12v battery. Dropped in an AGM, which the 2025 Hybrids now come equipped with by the way, and not a single issue since. I haven't even brought mine in for any of the recalls, which are all firmware flashes. One day I'll ask my brother to install the recall/updates, he can do so at either his house or mine, working for the dealer.

Shame pricing has gone up since when I ordered, which at the time made it a real bargain for a truck or hybrid, let alone both. Love it, especially the mileage and convenience.

The reason to buy a Maverick is the size or fuel economy if that's your thing. Besides that, it's a sliding scale on capability versus larger trucks. It is no longer the no-brainer value it was when it came out. When I got mine it was the same price as a 70,000 mile Frontier.

There aren't many, really. I'd have to go back to the drawing board and save a bit more to look at a Ridgeline, Ranger, or Tacoma, which are all fine but a bit bigger than what I want (though my in-laws just got a new Taco and it certainly feels real fancy). It's too bad I can't really look at SUVs, but it's just too nice to have a bed you don't have to sweat about putting something like a lawnmower, or paving stones, or the like into.
Looks like you are in Iowa. Did you check out Granger Motors in Granger IA ? They might be able to save you a few bucks. Not to mention that they are great dealership to work with.

I have a 25 Hybrid, 4k AWD with almost 8k miles and no issues so far. It's been about my favorite, most versatile vehicle I have ever owned and the first new one. I thought the speakers on the XLT would be an issue also after reading about them on here for the 22-24 models (not sure what you are buying). But it's been discussed on here before, the speakers/sound are not that bad at all on the XL and XLT 25's. It's been speculated because the Synch 4 system delivers more power than Synch 3. That being said, I will probably swap at least the door speakers eventually but instead on being at the top of my list initially, it's way down there now. Not a deal breaker at all.

Yeah, it's a 25, I didn't want to save a couple thousand dollars and be on an older platform at this point.

Thanks for sharing pics everyone, I am consistently struck at how good the Maverick looks. Stock, modified, 22-24, 25, it's just a good looking vehicle.
Take the plunge and get one today. Listen to all those satisfied MTC members. Have yet to hear one that has slammed the Mav.

I also had an older Ranger, so I know where you're coming from. I haven't purchased a Maverick just yet but I'm 100% sure it's the next truck I want to own. The size and practicality for what I need just can't be beat. If the pricing is too high to justify maybe used is the answer, but regardless I think you'll be very happy with it.

I almost bought a Maverick about a month or so ago to replace my 2004 Ranger (handing it down to my kid, what a champ the Ranger's been) when, on the way to the dealer, I received a call that a Stop Sale had been implemented and my wife and I had to turn around and go home empty-handed (I had already driven one previously but hated the stock interior). After sitting on it for a week, I decided to just go ahead and order one from a dealer closer to me with everything I wanted and nothing I didn't (Eruption Green XLT, Ecoboost, Black Appearance Package, Luxury Package, Spray-In Liner). Got the employee pricing, so we're sitting at $34,500 (this includes delivery/destination) plus registration, doc fee, etc. Since then, all I've had time to do is more research. Here, Reddit, YouTube, etc. The Maverick looks like everything I want, but the constant recalls and issues- leaks, battery drain, CLIPS even, etc. - have me a bit spooked as the build date (week of 6/30) grows ever closer. I have a whole checklist of things to look over and test when the truck is delivered, but that will only tell me so much and can't cover everything. You all have so much knowledge and experience. Are you happy with the purchase? Would you get one again? Would you recommend it to your friends and family? Are the stock speakers THAT bad? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
The hybrid AWD is the way to go if you can handle the decrease in HP. They can both tow 4,000lbs and the hybrid gets 50%+ better MPG. The recalls for me have all been routine and I get the deep sleep stuff but it's a minor nuisance at best.

As far as the 2027 Slate goes.
By the end of this year we'll know whether Congress ends the $7,500 rebate
At that point you'll be talking about a $27,500+. Bare Bones 2door, seating for 2, crank window's, manual mirrors, one paint color, full EV capable of 150 miles.

After having my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid for a few months although I haven’t proved it but with the performance I’ve experienced the Hybrid would smoke the Tremor or Lobo with the ICE setup

Can you even make such a change once you've got a build date? I went with EB because I don't know that I drive enough to outweigh the cost difference for several years, but it seems like people are very happy with the hybrid platform, and it goes back a ways.

EDIT: I've got a VIN and all, I'm locked in but again I don't drive all THAT much - more with the new Mav but still not a ton - so I'm not too bothered by it. And if I am I can upgrade in the future.

I bought my 2023 Ecoboost about 2 years ago with 666 miles on it. It had AWD, SIBLING, BAP, and Pilot360. Also had a Homelink mirror. Yes, I've had a a few recalls but they were minor and taken cared of. So far my Maverick has performed like a champ. I payed $40,500 BUT I also got $20,500 trade in for my 2021 Corolla. I financed a little over $18,000. I now have 20,830 miles on it and it has been solid. At 75, I intend this Maverick to be my final vehicle as it does light duty.

I can't tell if serious or not, but the Santa Cruz isn't for me and in general it seems Hyundai are considered bottom rung for reliability. Heck, one of the videos I watched even compared the two and the Hyundai broke down (not that one example is representative of larger trends).
Anytime anyone on this board mentions the Santa Cruz it is a pretty safe bet they are not being serious.
