Insurance costs for a 2024 Maverick?

I had geico run a generic quote for my soon to be delivered 2024 hybrid. Close to $5600 a year! in in florida if that makes a difference. what is your experience?

Currently $2208 yearly w/ Progressive for full coverage on three cars

In Texas, my 23 Lariat Hybrid, $1200/year. Full coverage ($1000 deductible ) Hocheim. And it just went significantly up-was much lower. Tell me again why ANYONE lives in Florida, LOL??

My research on hybrid cars before purchasing my Ford Maverick Lariat Hybrid, revealed that insurance companies will typically charge extra for insurance because they believe a person with a hybrid will drive more miles than a ICE. Also, Hybrid cars and electric cars tend to go on fire in flood zones when the salt water enters the vehicle. I viewed the YouTube video of electric cars going on fire in Florida after Hurricane Ian, so I would not be surprised if the insurance in Florida for a Hybrid or electric car would be costly, especially on either the east or gulf coast.

2024 XL Hybrid - add-on to auto policy with full coverage and high coverage limits is about $800 for the year. Travelers Insurance in Pennsylvania. Clean driving record for wife and myself.

Actually more worried about insurance cost when my 17 year old daughter gets her license next month

SoCal ( L.A.) is about 2000 full coverage with no accidents/tickets with 2 cars (both hybrid) and home. Best l could find.

Minnesota location and American Family on a 23' with comprehensive coverage is about $1200.00 annually.

$5600.00 sounds ridiculous unless there are circumstances we are not aware of and even then, sheesh.

Have Allstate, from Louisiana, $2,100 a year for full coverage with 1k deductible. Without discounts, says my policy would be around $4,000 a year.

This truck is actually cheaper than my 2019 fusion I traded in for it.

Florida got crazy increases last 2 years. Not sure cause?? Maybe getting some extra $$$$ for hurricane claims?

AmFam; I pay about $1200/yr for full coverage (coll. + comprehensive) with $500 deductible. Late 30's male with clean record, as that tends to be relevant .

$5600 is insanity. There has to be something else going on there.

I called USAA and tried online and was told my father (rip, honerably discharged Army) wasn't a reason for me to join or get insurance.

To get USAA as a dependent, you must be a dependent of a currently serving member. Once you are a member, it is for life as long as you keep paying your bill.

They are starting to lose their edge. Was with USAA for 20 years, just left for NC Farm Bureau. FB was $600/yr cheaper for homeowners for similar coverage. I will say their car insurance rates were very similar.

My friend was once w USAA and as soon as she had an accident they got rid of her..I wouldn't trust that company..no forgiveness whatsoever!!
