This is what I do... Does the oil have a heavy odor of gasoline? Is the color on the dipstick dark? In a cold climate, is there a problem with condensation in the crankcase due to too few or not long enough trips? A yes to 2 out of 3 will warrant a change IMO. Myself I don't exceed 5,000 miles...

The 1st thing I bought for my Maverick was about 30 days after purchase and was a full tank of gasoline. I bought a second fill a month later.

If its immediately after a fill and for a short time only I'd expect it's a problem with the EVAP system. Are you overfilling your tank?

Yes, but with a more narrow tread pattern and more siping. The CC2 is the better of the two in snow IMO. I can say I have now owned both but the Weatheready 2 looks like it may have an edge on slick surfaces due to the siping or at least that is my hope.
