Insurance costs for a 2024 Maverick?

I called USAA and tried online and was told my father (rip, honerably discharged Army) wasn't a reason for me to join or get insurance.

I know you posted this a few weeks ago but this will confirm that the pain you feel is shared. My guess is due to floods and other catastrophic climate related vehicle losses, companies have to recoup the money:

I have AARP Hartford the escape and Mustang was 1800. A year 1000.00 ded with drivers course still have escape and traded in mustang for maverick went up to 2400.00 no tickets or wrecks in Florida

I think AARP Hartford increased their rates by 10-15% here. I am waiting to see if my sisters sees the same increase in her policy in NY. All I know is this is not sustainable every year and better end or a lot more cars are going to be on the roads uninsured.
