Their burgers were called "Greasy Sliders" not for how they went down (in)....When I was a teen (late-70s-early-80S) Rat Castles (as we called them; the fries were "Rat Tails") were a quarter.
But, for HOW they went out..

The tranny's are solid.......right ?That's what I thought the transmissions were the same!!
The issues with the 8f35 are well documented. No internal filter for small particulates, so if you follow the recommended fluid interval....boom. Usually at 70-80k miles. The tranny's are solid.......right ?
The Escape also has nicer trim packages and a 10 wat seat option. The PHEV Escape is much nicer to drive than the Maverick. The Escape's suspension provides a smoother, more comfortable, and less truck-like feel. Given the choice, I would take the Escape over the Maverick for comfort. The Maverick is more practical than the Escape. I also believe the Escape's back row offers more legroom than the Maverick's.
I'd like the BS more if there was a Maverick sized option. If you could get a 200" long Bronco Sport with 4k tow, I'd jump on one of those.Don't get me wrong
I do like my Tremor
But I definitely like better my Bronco Sport Badlands
It's an eye catcher

That's for sureThe issues with the 8f35 are well documented. No internal filter for small particulates, so if you follow the recommended fluid interval....boom. Usually at 70-80k miles.
If you change the fluid every 30k, with an early change at 10k, they usually hold up better. But IIRC we have seen failures in those that got early fluid changes too.
Both transmissions the 8f35 was built from, the 6f35 and the 9T40 have issues with spontaneous failures.

So much chatter about how wonky the 8F35 trans is, but looks how many vehicles use that kindThe issues with the 8f35 are well documented. No internal filter for small particulates, so if you follow the recommended fluid interval....boom. Usually at 70-80k miles.

That is incorrect. The 8F35 does have an internal filter but to change it you have to drop the trans and spilt the case. So changing the ULV fluid every 30k will help the filter stay clean and remove debris form the trans and fluid for longer service life. The 8F35 does not have widespread failure but it happens and all transmissions are subject to failure. Here is some good info on the 8F35The issues with the 8f35 are well documented. The "internal filter" in the 8f35 is not comaprable to, say, an oil filter. Such a filter would fill up and choke fast. That is incorrect. It's funny you listed all those, you go to ANY of their respective forums, and you will find people complaining about their transmissions. So much chatter about how wonky the 8F35 trans is, but looks how many vehicles use that kind
Ford Escape 2020–2026 with selected 1.5L and 2.0L powertrains
Ford Edge 2019–2024 with the applicable 2.0L powertrain
Ford Bronco Sport 2021–2026
Ford Maverick 2022–2026 with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine
Ford Transit Connect 2019–2022 in applicable configurations
Lincoln Corsair 2020–2026
Lincoln Nautilus 2019–2023 in applicable configurations
If the trans is so unreliable, one would think that the transmission shops would be flooded with them requiring repair based on the volume of vehicles that use them. I don't have any figures on the number of these transmissions that are out there, but if the Escapes, Edge, Bronco's and Maverick's use them, the number has to be substantial.
