I know the 2022 Escape SE 1.5l has the same transmission as the EB Mavericks. I'm hoping my girl and I get lucky with the transmission issues as she just bought a used Escape

Yup! Unfortunately. Although her old Escape had the 6 speed version with the internal filter and she never serviced it in 282k miles

Got you on that. I remember McDonalds doing a 10 cent hamburger promotion. The sad thing is, inflation is all tax. It comes about when the Fed prints more dollars that they spend.

I'm still trying to figure out how we got onto burgers from a post about a Maverick hybrid hmm..I could go for a 5 Guys double bacon cheeseburger actually

I remember the ads showing a person in business attire getting their lunch, burger fries and a drink and change back from their dollar. The change was 5 cents. That was 1969 when the campaign started. Minimum wage in 1969 =$1.60/hr. Median income for men was about $8,600, women was much less.
Edit: the closest McDonald's to us was 25 or 30 miles away. If we were anywhere near it I begged to go but I was told it was "too expensive". So we would go to White Castle for 14cent burgers.

When I was a teen (late-70s-early-80S) Rat Castles (as we called them; the fries were "Rat Tails") were a quarter.
