I almost bought a Maverick about a month or so ago to replace my 2004 Ranger (handing it down to my kid, what a champ the Ranger's been) when, on the way to the dealer, I received a call that a Stop Sale had been implemented and my wife and I had to turn around and go home empty-handed (I had already driven one previously but hated the stock interior). After sitting on it for a week, I decided to just go ahead and order one from a dealer closer to me with everything I wanted and nothing I didn't (Eruption Green XLT, Ecoboost, Black Appearance Package, Luxury Package, Spray-In Liner). Got the employee pricing, so we're sitting at $34,500 (this includes delivery/destination) plus registration, doc fee, etc. Since then, all I've had time to do is more research. Here, Reddit, YouTube, etc. The Maverick looks like everything I want, but the constant recalls and issues- leaks, battery drain, CLIPS even, etc. - have me a bit spooked as the build date (week of 6/30) grows ever closer. I have a whole checklist of things to look over and test when the truck is delivered, but that will only tell me so much and can't cover everything. You all have so much knowledge and experience. Are you happy with the purchase? Would you get one again? Would you recommend it to your friends and family? Are the stock speakers THAT bad? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Got my Maverick XL hybrid 07/06/2023 , I have used it every day since and currently have 46,773 miles on it with no problems. There were a couple recalls in the beginning and since it was the end of the pandemic there were some supply problems but I can't think of any totally new vehicle model that didn't have it's own kinks to work out. I get over 40.2 mpg average on regular gas. I have driven cross country twice once winter once summer and the only problem I experienced is the backend gets a little light in the snow (on the stock tires) but nothing a couple sand bags didn't fix.
As for the speakers, unless you're an audiophile that is looking for true sound reproduction (and there isn't a vehicle speaker out there that the road/tire noise doesn't negate any quality difference) or a Thumper that is looking to rattle the windows I think you'll find the speakers adequate for the average listener.
Would I recommend the Maverick to a friend or family member? I recommend it to EVERYONE who asks me (and I've had strangers come up to me in parking lots asking). I would plan on buying another but at my age I think it may be the last new vehicle I buy.

Hahaha, my old Ranger knows all about the sandbags, never leave home without them (literally!).

I'm late to the party here but just to add my anecdotal experience, I bought my 22 Lariat used and it seems like the first owner dealt with most of the recalls that were on it. I bought it last August at 19k miles and I just recently rolled it over 40k and it's been trouble free so far. I have seen a few "Remote Features Disabled" alerts with my Ford app but nothing that has prevented the truck from starting up and doing what it is supposed to do. I plan to take it in for an oil change here next week and may ask them to look at the battery now that there is something formal from Ford on it.

In terms of quality complaints, the biggest for me might be the dash rattles but I do try to keep in mind that even though I have the Lariat, it's the same dashboard that was sold in what was originally a $20k vehicle so I temper my expectations a bit and turn up the music a few clicks. 😆

Otherwise, it's a smartly designed little truck and it is a joy to drive. I love it for camping, biking and fishing trips. I'm not really a large vehicle guy and prefer smaller cars and trucks so it's a good fit for me.

I waited 15 months for my 2022 XLT Hybrid, I got it in September of 2022 I've put 31,000 miles on it and I am quite happy with it. I haven't done a bunch of mods, I bought the no fake noise dongle and the stainless gas door/cap pin and thats about it. It's been to the dealer once for some software update stuff and thats about it. I change my one oil and I just bought new tires. It is just barely enough truck for my needs and its comfortable enough, it gets great mileage 38 average and I don't do anything special. If It wasnt so hot all the time I think it would be well over 40mpg but the AC sucks up a lot of juice but that AC is fantastically cold, maybe the best I have ever had. I am considering buying an other with the 4k towing and awd but I probably wont.

NO! DON'T BUY IT! We want to keep the secret of Maverick ownership to ourselves 😜 . Seriously, I researched for 9 months and got it narrowed down to a Maverick or Ridgeline. I wanted a better ride, easier entry and exit height, a smaller bed because I am getting older and don;t want to unload a full size bed of mulch at a time . I have had mine since April 3,2025 and do not miss my Silverado in anyway. The Lariat stereo is fine for me, if I want to crank up the classic rock I have a 250w stereo in the house for that. The sound deadening windshield made a difference when I test drove the Lariat compared to the XLT. Not sure if that is changed on the 2025. I had a 1992 Ranger for 12 years then handed it down and this is the closest thing to it I have found.
I have a 2024 XLT Hybrid I bought 18 months ago. The truck has about 32K miles on it and the truck has been flawless.
The only problems I've had has been with the way 2 local dealers dealt with the recalls. Both times ( with 2 different dealers) , I was given appointments months in advance and both times the truck was tied up all day. BTW, the truck showed no symptoms of problems related to the recalls.

I have had absolutely no issues or formal recalls on my 2025 Maverick AWD Lariat Hybrid after nearly 2500 miles I’d buy this exact vehicle again

I have a ‘24 Tremor XLT with 11,000 miles on it. It’s been a good little truck. I say go for it!!

On August 2025 the OP "Jarathen" started a new thread, announcing that they had bought an Eruption Green Maverick.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who talked me through the Maverick experience while I was awaiting my order. I took delivery of this gorgeous little truck last Monday, and the finalization was so easy I couldn't believe it. Got it home, took pictures - here's one below - and then... the rattling.

I was already getting it touched up, a few chips from the road on the way to the dealer, and they handled that, but I also mentioned at 35-45 or so the center mirror cluster would buzz/rattle. I mentioned that, they said they'd take a look, and we have a whole replacement on order now. The Ford Maverick, everyone!

I still like it a lot. And I appreciate everyone preparing me for the ride that it is.

Sold my 2020 F-150 14 months ago and purchased a 2025 Maverick Hybrid Lariat AWD with 4K tow and have zero regrets. F-150 5.0 2WD averaged 20 MPG, 2025 Maverick best was 85 MPG, worst 33 MPG and average overall 42 MPG @ 13K miles. Zero problems & one recall.

85 MPG ? C'mon now. This hybrid mpg thing is really getting to be ridiculous.

We may have to start measuring using gpd (gallons per day) I see some members have less than 5,000 miles after one year lol 😂
