I did talk with one of my ford friends and they said this recall was a Compliance Recall so it was causing a stop sell if they didnt fix it. Not sure if that means they would also do it if we brought the truck in for other reasons.
It's a stop sale because Federal NHTSA requirements are that a new vehicle cannot be sold with an open safety recall. As an owner it is technically not compulsory.

Finally reading over this thread. Have the Lasfit bulbs in all my rear facing bulbs. Guess im going to wait this out until a fix is found try for a warranty since I only just bought them in september.

I did talk with one of my ford friends and they said this recall was a Compliance Recall so it was causing a stop sell if they didnt fix it. Not sure if that means they would also do it if we brought the truck in for other reasons.
If you reach out to LASFIT and mention the issue, they may refund the money for the bulbs, or ship you out the T3 version (which so far seems promising but just lucky, not an actual bulb correction/fix...just another bulb that happens to be working on the XL and XLT and not Lariat it seems). If you bought the whole package of bulbs they refunded me the price of the bulbs if they were purchased on their own...I am just going to wait until they come out with an actual tested/working bulb for the Maverick (assuming LASFIT does).

Edited: ...If you just purchased them in September, within the 1yr warranty window

All, I have successfully found all the settings in the BCM to change to eliminate hyper flashing. I have all first gen Lasfit LEDs including switchback turn signals, reverse lights, rear braking and turn signal lights, and third brake lights.

See the photo below.

Under BCM you can filter to “outage” to get them all in one place. I did them one at a time but in total there should be around 4 or 5 to disable.

Note: the screenshot is just the BCM filtered to the word “outage” I did not change all of these settings that are shown.

Edit: highlighted in yellow

Nice!! I just got my recall letter in the mail so I forwarded them a screenshot of your post along w/ the picture. Let's see if they are able to figure it out! I'll update tomorrow after I get the work done

But how did you end up buying this made in Mexico vehicle?
Like I had already stated, it's hard to find much anymore, regardless what it is, made in the USA. Guess society decided long time ago they wanted their pleasures at a cheaper price and that their and wall streets profits was all that counted. So the majority of manufacturing, jobs any many other things just got sold out to the foreign countries, many that Hate the USA, and we import the products, mostly disposable now days. That's my opinion, every one has a right to their own, got no problem with that. But if I have an option in purchasing what I need, one being foreign made and one being USA made, my purchase will be USA made product, which almost always be a higher price, but I'm just fine with that. Just my stance on the matter.

Why are you taking a screwdriver to a brand new vehicle to replace perfectly good bulbs?
I changed all of mine. If you used a screwdriver, you’re doing it wrong.

OK, I'm sorry, I just meant - it's a brand new vehicle, why are you replacing perfectly good bulbs? Yeah, I don't know how to change them, at this point with a brand new vehicle I don't want to.
At least you're not taking a jig saw to your console to replace the dial shifter with a lever type shifter from a F150 like a guy in another thread.

Also run much cooler and use less electricity, so a win-win-win.
Run cooler???the heat will be moved from the filament which uses less electricity to the resistor which heats up using the electricity that was moved. The over all amount of electricity has to remain close enough to what was OEM measured amount. The resistor after a period of time it will heat up whether 1 or 2 or 6 or what ever amount of minutes the resistance will drift causing the amount of electricity used to be different. At some point the hyper flash will return to indicate an out of range use. Perhaps the resistor should be a variable resistor which could change the resistance based upon the measured current flow in the circuit?

Lasfit was very quick to reply when I mentioned the issue with hyper flashing on the dash turn signal indicators. Lasfit quickly sent me the new T3 led bulbs to try out for evaluation. After installing the new bulbs, one lamp would not illuminate. After writing Lasfit again they suggested that I install all 4 bulbs and then reverse the polarity on the bulb that was not working. This morning after changing the polarity on the one bulb, I can say that all of the bu are working perfectly with NO hyper flashing on the dash indicators! Same brightness as before and operating perfectly! The old style bulb is on the right with new T-3 bulbs on the left. One less led element on each side, 4 total less for each bulb.

@Rfick. Great post on the outcome with the new T3's. Thanks!
Can you please explain your last statement: "One less led element on each side, 4 total less for each bulb."
After your dealer upgraded the software for the turn signal recall, hyper-flash went away because you:
a) swapped the old Lasfit LED bulb with the new T3 upgraded bulb on the left side, and kept the old Lasfit LED bulb on the right side?
b) swapped the old Lasfit LED bulb with the new T3 upgraded bulb on the left side, and kept on the right side the original incandescent bulb that came with the truck?

Thanks again!

I emailed LASFIT yesterday and was offered 50% ordering the new T3 bulbs for the rear. I placed my order in September. Better than nothing!

Meaning you have the original Lasfit bulbs that are not working as advertised? And they offered a discount on buying new ones? Sounds like a warranty issue to me. When I get my truck I expect I'll see the same thing (already have bulbs), and I expect them to make it right.

In the photo if you look closely to the new T-3 bulbs there is now only 5 led elements on each side compared to having 6 elements on the old style pictured on the right of the photo. Lasfit indicates that a stronger resistor is being installed in the new T-3 bulb. When I originally replaced the older Lasfit led bulbs, I started with just one side to see if the new bulbs worked correctly . Without replacing all 4 bulbs at once, the dash turn signals indicator would still hyper flash. All 4 bulbs changed and all of the bulbs worked perfectly with no hyper flash on the dash. Hopefully I explained this better. lol

don’t think that’s a Lasfit warranty issue when Ford issues a software update that messes up bulbs that were otherwise working fine. In my experience they’ve been pretty accomodating, replacing all 4 of my taillights at no charge when 2 burned out 1 month after warranty. Offering 50% off on a possible solution to a problem their product didn’t trigger directly seems reasonable to me. I’ll wait as long as possible before I get this recall done in the hopes that Ford patches the software involved again or Lasfit has a firm fix in place.

Don’t be surprised if the dealer doesn’t agree to disable the outage indication for you. Technically they are mandated safety features, hence the recall
