Did I hear the guy from McCarthur Ford just say on his live YouTube presentation that like 6,000 Mavs would be built by the end of the year? Out of 100,000? Pretty sure he said that's what he was told in a production meeting today.
First off there are not 100,000 Maverick's ordered. Those 100,000 reservations were not turned into 100,000 orders. Many people sent reservations to multiple dealerships in order to get the best deal in pricing. When they had that they only did one order.

I sent out six reservations but only ordered one Maverick.

As for the production numbers I believe they were 2700 for November and 4900 for December.

On this site this thread:

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ick-order-tracking-list-stats-enter-yours.165

Only shows 1704 orders as of September 7th.

I'd reckon of those 100k+ reservations, less than half were converted to orders. Just a gut feeling. No data or scientific method to support my opinion. It's more wishful thinking on my part in the hopes of moving up the line.

He says at the 59:20 mark 20-30% of the 100k orders are converted. 100,000 X (.2 or .3) = 20,000 to 30,000 orders.
This link starts at the 59:20 mark where he mentions the 20-30% conversion rate:

Well, at least they made it for the two or so days since the celebration. Glad I am not dire right now and can wait it out. The full length sun roof in my Jetta Sportwagen leaks like crazy and it might just rain this year in CA. If that happens I will be more upset.

Gosh this is frustrating. I've had radio silence since July, I ordered a hybrid XLT. I got the order form and everything and signed off on the build but I still haven't been scheduled and I ordered in June. My reasoning for ordering was that I needed a vehicle now, and the market is too expensive for a used truck. Hopefully Ford sorts this out soon.

If im doing 90% of my driving at 80mph wouldnā€™t the ecoboost do almost as good on fuel than the hybrid?Just a thought.

Thereā€™s likely only a ~5mpg difference on the highway so yeah, Iā€™d personally opt for the Ecoboost in your position.

Have you ever owned a hybrid? I had a kia niro and on the highway I barely got 35-40 especially at 80 mph. At 65 mph it was okay more like 38, but still not great. However, in the city, driving softly, I would get 45-55 depending on how many times I punched the gas to get around someone. So, highway driving is not where the hybrids will excel IMO.
